    Description

This is Release 2 of the Fundamental Data Record (FDR) brightness temperatures from the High Resolution Infrared Radiation Sounder (HIRS) on board NOAA and Metop satellites. The data record covers more than 40 years from 29 October 1978 to 31 December 2022. Release 2 provides recalibrated Level 1c brightness temperatures based on the V4.0 calibration method developed by Cao et al. (2007). This method was implemented into the NWP-SAF software ATOVS and AVHRR processing Package (AAPP). This software was consistently used to recalibrate and reprocess data from all HIRS instruments on board TIROS-N, NOAA-06 to NOAA-19, Metop-A, and Metop-B. Input HIRS data were collected from NOAA/CLASS and ECMWF archives and merged to produce a longer time series of some of the satellites.

    Description

The QoG Institute is an independent research institute within the Department of Political Science at the University of Gothenburg. Overall 30 researchers conduct and promote research on the causes, consequences and nature of Good Governance and the Quality of Government - that is, trustworthy, reliable, impartial, uncorrupted and competent government institutions.

The main objective of our research is to address the theoretical and empirical problem of how political institutions of high quality can be created and maintained. A second objective is to study the effects of Quality of Government on a number of policy areas, such as health, the environment, social policy, and poverty.

QoG Basic Dataset, which consists of approximately the 300 most used variables from QoG Standard Dataset, is a selection of variables that cover the most important concepts related to Quality of Government.

In the QoG Basic CS dataset, data from and around 2018 is included. Data from 2018 is prioritized, however, if no data is available for a country for 2018, data for 2019 is included. If no data exists for 2019, data for 2017 is included, and so on up to a maximum of +/- 3 years.

In the QoG Basic TS dataset, data from 1946 to 2021 is included and the unit of analysis is country-year (e.g., Sweden-1946, Sweden-1947, etc.).

    Purpose:

The primary aim of QoG is to conduct and promote research on corruption. One aim of the QoG Institute is to make publicly available cross-national comparative data on QoG and its correlates.

In the QoG Basic TS dataset, data from 1946 to 2021 is included and the unit of analysis is country-year (e.g., Sweden-1946, Sweden-1947, etc.).

Historical countries are in most cases denoted with a do-date (e.g. Ethiopia (-1992) and a from-date (Ethiopia (1993-)).

    Description

This dataset FDI main aggregates, BMD4 is updated every quarter and includes quarterly and annual aggregate inward and outward Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows, positions and income for OECD reporting economies and for non-OECD G20 countries (Argentina, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and South Africa).

It is a simplified dataset with fewer breakdowns compared to the other separate datasets specifically dedicated to FDI flows, FDI positions or FDI income aggregates. In this dataset, FDI statistics are presented on directional basis only (unless otherwise specified, see metadata attached at the reporting country level) and resident Special Purpose Entities (SPEs), when they exist, are excluded (unless otherwise stated, see metadata attached at the reporting country level).

FDI aggregates are measured in USD millions, in millions of national currency and as a share of GDP.

This dataset supports FDI aggregates indicators available from the FDI in Figures.

In 2014, many countries implemented the latest international standards for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) statistics:

This OECD database was launched in March 2015 which includes the data series reported by national experts according to BMD4. The data are for the most part based on balance of payments statistics published by Central Banks and Statistical Offices following the recommendations of the IMF’s BPM6 and the OECD’s BMD4. However, some of the data relate to other sources such as notifications or approvals.

Historical and unrevised series of FDI aggregates under the previous BMD3 methodology can be accessed in the archived dataset FDI series of BOP and IIP aggregates

    Description

This is a database of the fundamental parameters and color-magnitude diagrams of 49 star clusters. It corresponds to the study of Zhongmu Li, Yangyang Deng and Jing Chen in 2021, which was submitted to ApJS. When one use these data, please cite to that work.
The fundamental parameters are fitted from the color-magnitude diagrams in V and I bands, via the ASPS model and Poerful CMD code. The V and I magnitudes are transformed from the Gaia DR2 magnitudes using some fitting correlations.

The database contains three parts, i.e., a parameter file and three directories. They are explained as follows.

The file "parameters.dat" gives the basic information, best-fit parameters from ASPS model and isochrones. There are 15 columns in this file. The colums are for Name, FoF_ID, l, l_err, b, b_err, m-M, E(V-I), Z, t, f_b, f_r, Z_old, t_old, t_old_err respectively. They correspond to the contents of a manuscript that was submitted to ApJS.

The directory "obseved_cmds_data" contains the data of observed VI band color-magnitude diagrams of 49 star clusters. The first and second columns are for V magnitude and (V-I) color, respectively.

The directory "bestfit_cmds_data" contains the data of best-fit color-magnitude diagrams of 49 star clusters. The first and second columns are for (V-I) color and V magnitude respectively.

The directory "cmds_figs" contains the comparison figures of the observed and best-fit color-magnitude diagrams.

If you have any problems with using these data, send an email to zhongmuli@126.com.
