The annual average consumer price index (CPI) of gas in the United Kingdom stood at 195 index points in 2023. The year 2015 was the base year and equals 100. Prices drastically increased compared to the previous years.

Natural gas in the Alberta hub region in Canada stood at 2.75 U.S. dollars per million British thermal unit in 2021, an increase of around 74 percent when compared to the previous year. During the period in consideration, figures presented a trend of decline, despite some oscillation. Overall, Canadian natural gas prices decreased by 2.08 U.S. dollars per million British thermal unit, peaking in 2008 at nearly eight U.S. dollars per million British thermal unit.

Average price of unleaded gasoline (95 RON) in Great Britain fluctuated. Between 2000 and 2020, figures increased by 0.16 euros per liter, peaking at 1.67 euros per liter in 2012. Prices reached the lowest in 2003, at 1.10 euros per liter. The average price for unleaded gasoline amounted to 1.48 euros in 2020.

As of May 2025, the average price for premium gasoline in Germany was around 176.9 euro cents per liter. This was a slight decrease compared to the year before.
