Monthly estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) containing constant price gross value added (GVA) data for the UK.
505 Economics is on a mission to make academic economics accessible. We've developed the first monthly sub-national GDP data for EU and UK regions from January 2015 onwards.
Our GDP dataset uses luminosity as a proxy for GDP. The brighter a place, the more economic activity that place tends to have.
We produce the data using high-resolution night time satellite imagery and Artificial Intelligence.
This builds on our academic research at the London School of Economics, and we're producing the dataset in collaboration with the European Space Agency BIC UK.
We have published peer-reviewed academic articles on the usage of luminosity as an accurate proxy for GDP.
Key features:

We have created this dataset for all UK sub-national regions, 28 EU Countries and Switzerland.
The dataset provides quarterly insights into the economic performance of Trinidad and Tobago, focusing on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at producer prices and other related indicators.

This table provides data from Quarterly National Accounts (QNA) of Statistics The Netherlands. It contains quarterly and annual data on production, expenditures, income and external economic transactions of The Netherlands. Data available from 1995. Status of the figures: Annual data of the period 1995-2022 are final. Quarterly data from 2022 are provisional. Changes as of April 30th 2025: Data of the preliminary estimate of 2025q1 have been added to this table. Adjustment as of July 12th 2024: Data of gross fixed capital formation by type of capital good and by destination in the period 1995-2021 are adjusted due to an error in the original calculation. When will new figures be published? The preliminary estimate (flash estimate) of a quarter is released within 45 days. The second estimate is published after 85 days. At the second estimate of the fourth quarter, data of the previous three quarters will also be revised. If (new) annual figures become available in June, the quarterly figures will be revised again to bring them in line with the annual figures. Please note that there is a possibility that adjustments might take place at the end of March or September, in order to provide the European Commission with the latest figures.
Data from 1st of December 2021. For most recent GDP data, consult dataset nama_10_gdp. Gross domestic product (GDP) is a measure for the economic activity. It is defined as the value of all goods and services produced less the value of any goods or services used in their creation. The volume index of GDP per capita in Purchasing Power Standards (PPS) is expressed in relation to the European Union average set to equal 100. If the index of a country is higher than 100, this country's level of GDP per head is higher than the EU average and vice versa. Basic figures are expressed in PPS, i.e. a common currency that eliminates the differences in price levels between countries allowing meaningful volume comparisons of GDP between countries. Please note that the index, calculated from PPS figures and expressed with respect to EU27_2020 = 100, is intended for cross-country comparisons rather than for temporal comparisons."
