The GEMS-GLORI register, circulated by UNEP for review in 1996, lists 555 world major rivers discharging to oceans (Q > 10 km**3/year, or A > 10 000 km**2, or sediment discharge > 5Mt/year, or basin population >5M people). Up to 48 river attributes are listed, including major ions and nutrients (C, N, P) in both dissolved, particulate, organic and inorganic forms. For many rivers, two or three sets of data are provided with relevant periods of records and references. Although half of the selected rivers are not yet documented for water quality, most of the first 40 rivers are well described (Irrawady, Zambezi, Ogooue, Magdalena, are noted exceptions). Altogether about 10 000 individual data from 500 references are listed. The global coverage in terms of river discharge and/or drainage area ranges from 40 to 67% for most major water quality attributes but drops to 25% for some organic and/or particulate forms of N and P. Planned development of the register includes collection of information on particulate chemistry and data on endorheic rivers and selected tributaries.

The Bedrock Geologic Map of the Vincennes 30 x 60 Minute Quadrangle was created to present basic bedrock geologic information that contributes to the characterization of potential aggregate resources, characterization of bedrock aquifer systems, and analysis of the overlying predominantly glacial dep...osits. This map is based on data obtained from several thousand records including petroleum well drillers' logs, geophysical logs, water well drillers' logs, descriptions of cores recovered by the Indiana Geological Survey, seismic refraction records collected by the Indiana Geological Survey, natural exposures in and near the map area, and exposures in active and abandoned quarries. This database is, in large part, the result of a cooperative mapping agreement between the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the Indiana Geological and Water Survey through the STATEMAP program of the USGS. This data is updated nightly with the latest GEMS data, and only includes records that have WTM coordinate values populated in GEMS. This layer excludes the locations of public water supply wells. See https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Landfills/gems.html for more information about the GEMS database.

TwitterThis is a conversion of Wentworth and others (2023)[DAS1] to the Geologic Map Schema (GeMS) for inclusion in the National Geologic Map Database. The original publication was in the Alacarte schema commonly used for geologic map databases prior to the release of the now mandatory GeMS. The GIS layers in this release have the same scientific content as the source data release. The source data release lacks description of map units, however, so those have been copied verbatim from the two principal sources for that work (Witter and others, 2006 [DAS2]; Knudsen and others, 2000 [DAS3]).

TwitterLarge-sample datasets are essential in hydrological science to support modelling studies and global assessments. The present dataset compiles all freshwater quality data that is available under open data policy (CC BY 4.0 or equivalent) at the GEMStat database for global water quality (www.gemstat.org). It includes over 20,000,000 measurements on 608 water quality parameters, covering 13,660 stations in 37 countries over the time period from 1906 to 2023.
GEMStat is operated by the GEMS/Water programme of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and hosted at the International Centre for Water Resources and Global Change (ICWRGC) and the German Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG). The data in GEMStat is provided by National Hydrological Services of UN member states.

TwitterThis dataset contains the predicted prices of the asset Gems over the next 16 years. This data is calculated initially using a default 5 percent annual growth rate, and after page load, it features a sliding scale component where the user can then further adjust the growth rate to their own positive or negative projections. The maximum positive adjustable growth rate is 100 percent, and the minimum adjustable growth rate is -100 percent.

This dataset comprises data from the GEMStat database that are available under an open data license (CC BY 4.0 or equivalent). It is made available on the Zenodo repository. GEMStat provides access to freshwater quality data. The data are voluntarily provided by countries and organizations worldwide within the framework of the GEMS/Water Programme of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The dataset includes more than 20 million measurement from over 13,000 stations and covering more than 600 different parameters and spans the time period from 1906 to 2023. This represents over 70% of all GEMStat data, further data is only available under more restricted data licenses. Brazil Export Value by PC: Metals, Gems and Jewelry: Others data is updated monthly, averaging 21.293 USD mn from Jan 1997 (Median) to Jul 2020, with 283 observations. The data reached an all-time high of 268.316 USD mn in Jul 2020 and a record low of 1.445 USD mn in Feb 1997. Brazil Export Value by PC: Metals, Gems and Jewelry: Others data remains active status in CEIC and is reported by Special Secretariat for Foreign Trade and International Affairs. The data is categorized under Global Database’s Brazil – Table BR.JAB014: Exports: Principal Commodities: Value (Discontinued). Foreign Trade Secretariat started to adopt only international product classifications maintained by the UN. Both the Factor Aggregate and Product Group classification do not have a clear methodology, do not have national (IBGE) and international (UN) comparability and do not have revisions, preserving distortions in relation to the Harmonized System and changes in the Brazilian agenda. The related series had been reclassified to Economic Activity classification.
