This data collection contains de-identified clinical health service utilisation data from Bendigo Health and the General Practitioners Practices associated with the Loddon Mallee Murray Medicare Local. The collection also includes associated population health data from the ABS, AIHW and the Municipal Health Plans. Health researchers have a major interest in how clinical data can be used to monitor population health and health care in rural and regional Australia through analysing a broad range of factors shown to impact the health of different populations. ID-Link is a cloud network system for medical institutions developed by Japanese technology and electronics company NEC. Long-term health problem or disability

A long-term health problem or disability that limits a person's day-to-day activities and has lasted or is expected to last at least 12 months. This includes problems that are related to old age.

People were asked to assess whether their daily activities were limited a lot or a little by such a health problem, or whether their daily activities were not limited at all.

Sex

The classification of a person as either male or female.

This dataset contains the locations of Article 28, Article 36, Article 40, and Article 7 health care facilities and programs from the Health Facilities Information System (HFIS). Article 28 facilities are hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic treatment centers and midwifery birth centers. Article 36 facilities are certified home health care agencies, licensed home care services agencies, and long term home health care programs. Article 40 facilities are hospices. Article 7 are licensed adult care facilities.

The dataset currently only contains the locations of hospitals and hospital extension clinics. The data for the remaining facility types will be added in the future.

This dataset provides Census 2021 estimates that classify usual residents in households in England and Wales by disability, by general health, and by age. The estimates are as at Census Day, 21 March 2021.

Estimates for single year of age between ages 90 and 100+ are less reliable than other ages. Estimation and adjustment at these ages was based on the age range 90+ rather than five-year age bands. Read more about this quality notice.

Area type

Census 2021 statistics are published for a number of different geographies. These can be large, for example the whole of England, or small, for example an output area (OA), the lowest level of geography for which statistics are produced.

For higher levels of geography, more detailed statistics can be produced. When a lower level of geography is used, such as output areas (which have a minimum of 100 persons), the statistics produced have less detail. This is to protect the confidentiality of people and ensure that individuals or their characteristics cannot be identified.

Lower tier local authorities

Lower tier local authorities provide a range of local services. There are 309 lower tier local authorities in England made up of 181 non-metropolitan districts, 59 unitary authorities, 36 metropolitan districts and 33 London boroughs (including City of London). In Wales there are 22 local authorities made up of 22 unitary authorities.

The East Asian Social Survey (EASS) is a biennial social survey project that serves as a cross-national network of the following four General Social Survey type surveys in East Asia: Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS), Japanese General Social Survey (JGSS), Korean General Social Survey (KGSS), Taiwan Social Change Survey (TSCS), and comparatively examines diverse aspects of social life in these regions. Survey information in this module focused on issues that affected overall health, such as specific conditions, physical functioning, aid received from family members or friends when needed, and lifestyle choices. Topics included activities respondents were able to perform and how they were affected socially in light of specific physical and mental health conditions. Respondents were asked to provide health conditions they were suffering from, such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and how these conditions were limiting with respect to general health, physical functioning, emotional and mental health, as well as social functioning. Other topics included participation and frequency of lifestyle habits that affected overall health, as well as how often respondents visited the doctor. Respondents were also queried on whether they sought out alternative, non-traditional homeopathic care and whether family, friends, or co-workers listened to their personal problems and provided support financially. Additional topics include the environment and pollution, neighborhood amenities, fear of aging, addiction, and body image. Demographic information specific to the respondent and their spouse includes age, sex, marital status, education, employment status and hours worked, occupation, earnings and income, religion, class, size of community, and region.
