The postal codes are the original database of Deutsche Post Direkt GmbH. It is the area of valid 5-digit postal code numbers on German territory. The geometry of the postal code areas is not always identical to the boundaries of the administrative territorial units, sometimes also consists of several sub-areas. Not included in the dataset are postal codes without associated areas (e.g. large customers). Also not included are the areas in Austria, which can only be reached from Germany, and therefore also have a German postal code.
A global self-hosted location dataset containing all administrative divisions, cities, and zip codes for 247 countries. All geospatial data is updated weekly to maintain the highest data quality, including challenging countries such as China, Brazil, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
