The annual Summary of Deposits (SOD) survey data provides a number of opportunities to better understand the status of our banking system. With the holistic aggregations of the Summary Tables, the geographically sensitive Market Share Reports, and the institution-centric Branch Office Deposits, you will be able to see a clear view of where the deposits are and how they’ve changed over time. The Summary of Deposits (SOD) application will be discontinued by the end of 2024. A new and improved SOD application is being developed and is available for preview now. Explore the latest beta version of the application here. The Deposit Market Share is the percentage of deposits an FDIC-insured institution has within a defined geographic market. This data is based on the annual Summary of Deposits (SOD) survey for FDIC-insured institutions as of June 30.The Deposit Market Share and the Pro Forma (HHI) Reports provide information for all institutions within a specific geographic market for a specific time period. The Market Presence and Growth Rate Reports provide similar information, but from the perspective of one institution. All reports provide data back to 1994 and are available by institution or bank holding company.
The U.S. Geological Survey, in collaboration with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Marine Sanctuary Program, conducted seabed mapping and related research in the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary region from 1993 to 2004. The mapped area is approximately 3,700 square km (1,100 square nm) in size and was subdivided into 18 quadrangles. Several series of sea floor maps of the region based on multibeam sonar surveys have been published. In addition, 2,628 seabed sediment samples were collected and analyzed and approximately 10,600 still photographs of the seabed were acquired during the project. These data provide the basis for scientists, policymakers, and managers for understanding the complex ecosystem of the sanctuary region and for monitoring and managing its economic and natural resources.

A conservation or mitigation bank is privately or publicly owned land managed for its natural resource values. In exchange for permanently protecting, managing, and monitoring the land, the bank sponsor is allowed to sell or transfer habitat credits to permitees who need to satisfy legal requirements and compensate for the environmental impacts of developmental projects.
Conservation (Endangered Species) Banking
A conservation bank generally protects threatened and endangered species and habitat. Credits are established for the specific sensitive species that occur on the site. Conservation banks help to consolidate small, fragmented sensitive species compensation projects into large contiguous preserves which have much higher wildlife habitat values. Other agencies that typically participate in the regulation and approval of conservation banks are the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration-National Marine Fisheries Service.
Mitigation (Wetlands) Banking
A mitigation bank protects, restores, creates, and enhances wetland habitats. Credits are established to compensate for unavoidable wetland losses. Use of mitigation bank credits must occur in advance of development, when the compensation cannot be achieved at the development site or would not be as environmentally beneficial. Mitigation banking helps to consolidate small, fragmented wetland mitigation projects into large contiguous preserves which will have much higher wildlife habitat values. Mitigation banks are generally approved by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

This feature layer represents the best effort by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services GIS Unit to compile all the USDA qualified Food Banks in California. This feature layer does not include points of distribution of the various food banks.Food Banks throughout California provide United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) commodities for distribution to eligible individuals and households within their service area. In order to be eligible for USDA commodities, a recipient or household must reside in the geographical area being served and meet established income guidelines. Under no circumstances shall a recipient be required to make any type of payment in money, materials, or services of any kind in connection with the receipt of USDA commodities. This feature layer was compiled from two main sources:California Department of Social Services Food Bank list.California Association of Food Banks member Food Bank list. This feature layer was updated January 2019. The next update is TBD.In addition, each food bank was searched for using Google to confirm, or update, address and contact information from the food banks web page. Some Food Banks are responsible for multiple Counties. When this happens there will be multiple points at the Food Bank location to represent each County the Food Bank is responsible for.The CalOES GIS Unit gives no warranties to the completeness or accuracy of this data.

Between July 20 and September 3, 2010, Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), conducted geomorphic investigations of a sample of reservoir banks located on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) fee-title land around three reservoirs administered by the USACE, Omaha District (NWO): Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota, Lake Oahe in North and South Dakota, and Lake Francis Case in South Dakota. SRI investigated a total of 105 field stations in order to develop field data in support of operationalizing in a geographic information system (GIS) an existing geomorphic model for predicting bank recession. As requested, the model variables and equations were operationalized in a GIS and evaluated for each of the three lakes by SRI and their subcontractor Miratek Corporation.
