    Description

[Metadata] Description: TMK Parcels for the State of Hawaii - 2025; specific dates vary by county. Sources: County of Hawaii: 5/16/25; County of Maui: 5/30/25; City and County of Honolulu: 6/3/25; County of Kauai: 6/2/25. Hawaii Statewide GIS Program projected to a common projection/datum (UTM Zone 4, NAD 83 HARN) and merged all counties' parcel data into one layer. Where necessary, the State standardized field names or added fields to the county layers such as creating text fields for corresponding numeric tmk fields, etc., and / or calculated values for fields such as links to qpublic.com websites showing additional information for each parcel. The parcel boundaries are intended to provide a visual reference only and do not represent legal or survey level accuracy. Attributes are for assessment purposes only and are subject to change at any time. For more information, please refer to metadata at https://files.hawaii.gov/dbedt/op/gis/data/tmk_state.pdf or contact Hawaii Statewide GIS Program, Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, State of Hawaii; PO Box 2359, Honolulu, Hi. 96804; (808) 587-2846; email: gis@hawaii.gov; Website:https://planning.hawaii.gov/gis.

[Metadata] Description: Land Use Land Cover of main Hawaiian Islands as of 1976Source: 1:100,000 1976 Digital GIRAS (Geographic Information Retrieval and Analysis) files. Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) data consists of historical land use and land cover classification data that was based primarily on the manual interpretation of 1970's and 1980's aerial photography. Secondary sources included land use maps and surveys. There are 21 possible categories of cover type. The spatial resolution for all LULC files will depend on the format and feature type. Files in GIRAS format will have a minimum polygon area of 10 acres (4 hectares) with a minimum width of 660 feet (200 meters) for manmade features. Non-urban or natural features have a minimum polygon area of 40 acres (16 hectares) with a minimum width of 1320 feet (400 meters). Files in CTG format will have a resolution of 30 meters. Description

This database consists of a series of maps showing tsunami inundation based on historical events (1946 Aleutian, 1952 Kamchatka, 1957 Aleutian, 1960 Chile, and 1964 Alaska tsunamis) and hypothetical events (two great Aleutian earthquakes with moment magnitude (Mw) 9.3 and 9.6 as potential sources). Individual maps show inundation across mile-long sections of Hawaii state routes on the islands of Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Oahu and Kauai previously identified for their vulnerability to the effects of climate change as part of the Statewide Coastal Highways Project Report.

Mileposts are identified by Brandes et al. (2019). State of Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) state routes and county street centerline datasets are acquired from HDOT (2017) and HOLIS, C&CH (2017). Shoreline datasets are provided by NGS (2017).

Please read ‘Description-Map of Tsunami Inundation.docx’ for detailed information.

[Metadata] This data contains a set of geodetic control stations maintained by the National Geodetic Survey. Downloaded from National Geodetic Survey website Feb 2025. Each geodetic control station in this dataset has either a precise Latitude/Longitude used for horizontal control or a precise Orthometric Height used for vertical control, or both. The National Geodetic Survey (NGS) serves as the Nation's depository for geodetic data. The NGS distributes geodetic data worldwide to a variety of users. These geodetic data include the final results of geodetic surveys, software programs to format, compute, verify, and adjust original survey observations or to convert values from one geodetic datum to another, and publications that describe how to obtain and use Geodetic Data products and services.Note: This data was projected to the State's standard projection/datum of UTM Zone 4, NAD 83 HARN for use in the State's GIS database, The State posts an un-projected version of the layer on its legacy site (https://planning.hawaii.gov/gis/download-gis-data-expanded/#013), or users can visit the National Geodetic Survey site directly, at https://geodesy.noaa.gov/datasheets/.For additional information, please see metadata at https://files.hawaii.gov/dbedt/op/gis/data/ngs_geodetic_ctrl_stns_summary.pdf or contact Hawaii Statewide GIS Program, Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, State of Hawaii; PO Box 2359, Honolulu, Hi. 96804; (808) 587-2846; email: gis@hawaii.gov; Website: https://planning.hawaii.gov/gis.

[Metadata] Areas managed by the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of State Parks, also referred to as Hawaii State Parks. Received by the Hawaii Statewide GIS Program from DLNR, Division of State Parks, October, 2021. The Hawaii State Park System is composed of 50+ parks covering over 30,000 acres of five major islands: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and Hawaii Island. These parks offer a variety of outdoor recreation and heritage opportunities. The park environments range from landscaped grounds with developed facilities to wildland areas with trails and primitive facilities. Data origin: This data has been created by georeferencing Governor's Executive Order Order (E.O.) metes and bounds maps included in the EO Set Asides to the Division of State Parks. The boundaries are referenced with County TMK data and subject to variance. This data is for general reference only.
