DOL registration data were downloaded and processed to summarize the number of new registrations of certain electric vehicles by year and census block group. Transaction Counts were summed by year and census block group. Data were filtered for Transaction Types = Original Registration. Data were also filtered to only include plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and batter electric vehicles (BEV). Source data transaction types include: 1) Registration Renewal - continuation of vehicle driving privileges. Commonly referred to as "getting new tabs". 2) Registration at time of Transfer - renewals that occur when the ownership of a vehicle changes. 3) Original Registration - first ever issuance of vehicle driving privileges in Washington. Processed registration data were joined by GEOIDID on 2020 census block group spatial data to create a feature class for the last full calendar year of registration data.Data includes transactions completed from January 20202 through December 2024. LABOR MARKET ENGAGEMENT INDEXSummary
The labor market engagement index provides a summary description of the relative intensity of labor market engagement and human capital in a neighborhood. This is based upon the level of employment, labor force participation, and educational attainment in a census tract (i). Formally, the labor market index is a linear combination of three standardized vectors: unemployment rate (u), labor-force participation rate (l), and percent with a bachelor’s degree or higher (b), using the following formula:
Where means and standard errors are estimated over the national distribution. Also, the value for the standardized unemployment rate is multiplied by -1.
Interpretation
Values are percentile ranked nationally and range from 0 to 100. The higher the score, the higher the labor force participation and human capital in a neighborhood.

LMA contains polygon attribution identifying 31 Labor Market Areas for Maine. The dataset, provided by the Maine Department of Labor, contains LMAs numbers and LMA names by TOWN, GEOCODE, COUNTY and CNTYCODE. A Labor Market Area is a geographically integrated economic area within which workers reside and find employment within a reasonable distance, or can change employment without changing their place of residence (Maine Department of Labor, Labor Market Information Services (LMIS). Acton, Durham, Monmouth, Newfield, Saint George, Criehaven Twp, Isle Au Haut, and Matinicus Isle Plt are each associated with a nearby LMA the extension required indicated by a suffix "E" on the affiliate LMA number.
This ESRI Geographic Information System (GIS) point shapefile with associated database file and metadata contains point locations, products mined, geologic formation and other attributes of selected sand, gravel and rock surficial mining operations in New Jersey. The database contains 1,031 inventoried operations with 172 being registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, Office of Mine Safety and Compliance. Some have multiple permits so there are a total of 167 operational sites and 864 inactive and abandoned surficial mining operations. One hundred ninety three of the mining operations were located using the Global Positioning System (GPS). With annual production of up to 20 million tons valued at $100 million, sand, gravel and rock mining is a significant industry in New Jersey. Inactive and abandoned operations are included because of their importance in environmental investigations, planning, zoning and resource evaluation. Also included is an Adobe PDF file "Active Sand & Gravel Mines.pdf" containing specific information pertaining to the 2006-2007 active and registered sand, gravel and rock surficial mining operations in New Jersey according to the New Jersey Department of Labor, Office of Mine Safety and Compliance. The ESRI shapefile, metadata and PDF files are compressed as a zip file for download.
