    FEMA Framework Basemap datasets comprise six of the seven FGDC themes of geospatial data that are used by most GIS applications (Note: the seventh framework theme, orthographic imagery, is packaged in a separate NFIP Metadata Profile): cadastral, geodetic control, governmental unit, transportation, general structures, hydrography (water areas & lines. These data include an encoding of the geographic extent of the features and a minimal number of attributes needed to identify and describe the features. (Source: Circular A16, p. 13)

    Description

    BY USING THIS WEBSITE OR THE CONTENT THEREIN, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF USE.

    The project consisted of color digital aerial imagery acquisition and color digital orthophoto production at 0.5-foot ground sample distance (GSD) for Oakland County (approximately 907 square miles). The aerial photography plan and the 2, 500 foot x 2, 500 foot digital orthophoto tiles were based on the SEMCOG approved Tile system, based upon the State Plane Grid.

    In the Spring of 2010, Southeast Michigan Council of Government (SEMCOG) obtained new orthoimagery for all seven of the membership counties - Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw, Wayne, and St. Clair.

    By using this data, you agree to the SEMCOG Copyright License Agreement. This layer contains information on active airports in the Southeast Michigan region (Livingston County, Macomb County, Monroe County, Oakland County, St. Clair County, Washtenaw County, Wayne County) and surrounding area. There are 35 records with the following fields: FAA, IATA, ICAO, Shortname, Fullname, AKA, system (yes/no), craftbased07 (based aircraft in 2007), dailyoper05 (daily operations in 2005), ownership (public/private/military), use (public/military), SEMMCD,owner, contact, phone, shape (point only).This layer is an update of a previous layer developed for the Regional Aviation System Plan for Southeast Michigan by the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG). It is also used for regional system airport analysis and the Regional Transportation Plan. This layer was last updated in 2013, though some of the data within is older than that, as indicated above.

    EGLE now administers the statewide Michigan Green Schools certification program. The program is dedicated to assisting all Michigan schools public and private achieve environmental goals that include protecting the air, land, water and animals of our state along with world outreach through good ecological practices and the teaching of educational stewardship of students pre-kindergarten through high school.A school is eligible to receive a Green School, Emerald School, or Evergreen School Environmental Stewardship Designation if the school or students perform the required number of activities, with a minimum of two activities from each of the four categories. The activity requirements for each level of environmental stewardship designation are as follows:Fields included in this dataset are:SchoolName: The name of the school.SchoolCity: The city that the school is in.SchoolCounty: The county that the school is in.CertificationLevel: The Green Schools certification level achieved based on number of activities achieved.Green: 10 total activities with at least two activities from each of the four categories.Emerald: 15 total activities with at least two activities from each of the four categories.Evergreen: 20 total activities with at least two activities from each of the four categories.Awaiting Final Result: Macomb County has not sent the final certification levels to the State of Michigan.Please visit EGLE's Green School site for more information and direct questions to Eileen Boekestein, EGLE's Environmental Education Coordinator at BoekesteinE@Michigan.gov.
