This layer is "live" and synchronized to automatically update whenever IURC personnel establish new boundaries.The layer was created to visually represent, as accurately as possible, the electric service territories served by the regulated electric service providers in the state of Indiana, pursuant to Cause Number 42868 (Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission) to establish an online GIS mapping environment to house, edit, and display visual interpretations or electric service territory rulings filed before and ruled by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. The data represented in this layer is strictly a visual aide and a best interpretation of the legally approved Electric Service Territories as ruled by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC). This map layer represents the individual tree inventory in the City of Bloomington, Indiana. The original data is currently maintained by the Parks Department via the TreeKeeper platform and is republish by the GIS department for public data access.
This map data layer represents the boundaries of the Bloomington Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts; the North Kinser-Prow Road TIF and the Bloomington Consolidated TIF. The Bloomington Consolidated TIF is divided into many allocation areas. TIF's are a local method of financing public investment intended to stimulate private sector investment and job creation, principally through infrastructure improvements using property tax revenues collected on the increased assessed valuation of property in the area.
The geologic map of the Bloomington and Brodtville quadrangles includes 1:24,000 scale mapping of both surficial and bedrock geology. There is little structural folding or faulting in this portion of the Driftless Area. Thus, it is ideal for studying the hydrostratigraphic framework of the mapped units. The accompanying report presents stratigraphic observations, including estimates of secondary porosity and observations of spring distribution, that provide useful baseline data for groundwater contamination studies in the area. The supplemental GIS data include map unit polygons, field data, well construction report locations, and rasters of geologic contacts.
