    Description

The California School Campus Database (CSCD) is now available for all public schools and colleges/universities in California.CSCD is a GIS data set that contains detailed outlines of the lands used by public schools for educational purposes. It includes campus boundaries of schools with kindergarten through 12th grade instruction, as well as colleges, universities, and public community colleges. Each is accurately mapped at the assessor parcel level. CSCD is the first statewide database of this information and is available for use without restriction.PURPOSEWhile data is available from the California Department of Education (CDE) at a point level, the data is simplified and often inaccurate.CSCD defines the entire school campus of all public schools to allow spatial analysis, including the full extent of lands used for public education in California. CSCD is suitable for a wide range of planning, assessment, analysis, and display purposes. The lands in CSCD are defined by the parcels owned, rented, leased, or used by a public California school district for the primary purpose of educating youth. CSCD provides vetted polygons representing each public school in the state.Data is also provided for community colleges and university lands as of the 2018 release.CSCD is suitable for a wide range of planning, assessment, analysis, and display purposes. It should not be used as the basis for official regulatory, legal, or other such governmental actions unless reviewed by the user and deemed appropriate for their use. Description

This dataset includes Level 1B (L1B) data products from the MODIS/ASTER Airborne Simulator (MASTER) instrument. The spectral data were collected during six flights aboard a DOE B-200 aircraft over California, Arizona, and New Mexico, U.S., from 2010-10-04 to 2010-10-13. Objectives included mapping for California Fire-Burn Area Emergency Response (BAER) and Jornada Experimental Range in southern New Mexico (JORNEX). This deployment was coordinated by the U.S. Department of Energy's Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSL) located at Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas, Nevada. Data products include L1B georeferenced multispectral imagery of calibrated radiance in 50 bands covering wavelengths of 0.460 to 12.879 micrometers at approximately 10-meter spatial resolution. The L1B file format is HDF-4. In addition, the dataset includes flight paths, spectral band information, instrument configuration, ancillary notes, and summary information for each flight, and browse images derived from each L1B data file.

    Description

The feature dataset contains geophysical properties to analyze where obstacles to infiltration exist and where infiltration would be most desirable. Such properties include areas of mapped landslides or liquefaction potential, depth to groundwater, slope, hydrologic soil group, and geology (pervious or impervious). An aquifer classification system was also developed to guide prioritization. Each aquifer underlying Los Angeles was classified according to the ability of LADWP to pump the aquifer for use in LADWP’s distribution network. Each sub-basin in the LADWP model was assigned a Category A (High), B (Medium), or C (Low) depending on its combination of geophysical obstacles and opportunities and aquifer class. Areas categorized as “A” or “High” were those having the fewest hydrogeologic constraints (i.e. few obstacles to infiltration, highly infiltrative soils, permeable aquifers) and were overlying the highest priority aquifers. These would be most conducive to infiltration BMPs. Category “B” or “Medium” areas were somewhat geologically constrained and overlying mid-level priority aquifers. These areas were also considered suitable for infiltration BMPs. Category “C” or “Low” areas contain obstacles to infiltration and/or were overlying low-priority aquifers, making them more conducive to direct use BMPs.

    Description

Coordinates were extracted from Section 632 of the California Code of Regulations Title 14. For the federal marine protected areas, coordinates were extracted from the applicable Code of Federal Regulations. All geographic coordinates in the subsection with full coordinate pairs (both latitude and longitude) are plotted at the regulatory waypoint, all geographic coordinates in the subsection that have only one coordinate (latitude or longitude) are plotted somewhere on the line in the vicinity of that boundary, all subsections that do not have coordinates included are plotted at the geographic centroid of the MPA feature. Coordinates for complimentary Federal/State MPAs were combined for visualization. Attributes: MPA_Name: Name of the Marine Protected Area. Type: Classification of the Marine Protected Area. Lat: Latitude of coordinate in decimal degrees. Long: Longitude of coordinate in decimal degrees. LatDDM: Latitude of coordinate in degree decimal minutes. LongDDM: Longitude of coordinate in degree decimal minutes. Notes: Additional information about the coordinate provided. Such as when a value is estimated or provided in regulations. Regulation: Section of California Code of Regulations that define the Marine Protected Area.
