Property parcel GIS map data consists of detailed information about individual land parcels, including their boundaries, ownership details, and geographic coordinates.

Property parcel data can be used to analyze and visualize land-related information for purposes such as real estate assessment, urban planning, or environmental management.

Available for viewing and sharing as a map in a Koordinates map viewer. This data is also available for export to DWG for CAD, PDF, KML, CSV, and GIS data formats, including Shapefile, MapInfo, and Geodatabase.

This feature service only contains parcel data for NYS State-owned tax parcels. 2024 Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data NYS ITS Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS).Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel. Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. This data set consists of 6 classes of zoning features: zoning districts, special purpose districts, special purpose district subdistricts, limited height districts, commercial overlay districts, and zoning map amendments.

This feature service has two layers: 1) NYS Tax Parcels Public, and 2) NYS Tax Parcels Public Footprint which contains polygons representing counties for which tax parcel polygons are available in the NYS Tax Parcels Public layer. County footprint polygons display when zoomed out beyond 1:37,050-scale. Tax parcel polygons display when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale. The NYS Tax Parcels Public layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITS Geospatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State. Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. The Hills of Governor's Island Dataset for GRASS GIS This geospatial dataset contains raster and vector data for the Hills region of Governor's Island, New York City, USA. The top level directory governors_island_hills_for_grass is a GRASS GIS location for NAD_1983_StatePlane_New_York_Long_Island_FIPS_3104_Feet in US Surveyor's Feet with EPSG code 2263. Inside the location there is the PERMANENT mapset, a license file, data record, readme file, workspace, color table, category rules, and scripts for data processing. This dataset was created for the course GIS for Designers.

The Unpublished Digital Bedrock Geologic-GIS Map of Gateway National Recreation Area and Vicinity, New Jersey and New York is composed of GIS data layers and GIS tables in a 10.1 file geodatabase (gwbr_geology.gdb), a 10.1 ArcMap (.MXD) map document (gwbr_geology.mxd), individual 10.1 layer (.LYR) files for each GIS data layer, an ancillary map information (.PDF) document (gate_geology.pdf) which contains source map unit descriptions, as well as other source map text, figures and tables, metadata in FGDC text (.TXT) and FAQ (.HTML) formats, and a GIS readme file (gwbr_gis_readme.pdf). Please read the gwbr_gis_readme.pdf for information pertaining to the proper extraction of the file geodatabase and other map files. To request GIS data in ESRI 10.1 shapefile format contact Stephanie O’Meara (stephanie.omeara@colostate.edu; see contact information below). The data is also available as a 2.2 KMZ/KML file for use in Google Earth, however, this format version of the map is limited in data layers presented and in access to GRI ancillary table information. Google Earth software is available for free at: http://www.google.com/earth/index.html. Users are encouraged to only use the Google Earth data for basic visualization, and to use the GIS data for any type of data analysis or investigation. The data were completed as a component of the Geologic Resources Inventory (GRI) program, a National Park Service (NPS) Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Division funded program that is administered by the NPS Geologic Resources Division (GRD). Source geologic maps and data used to complete this GRI digital dataset were provided by the following: New Jersey Geological Survey and New York State Museum. Detailed information concerning the sources used and their contribution the GRI product are listed in the Source Citation section(s) of this metadata record (gwbr_metadata_faq.html; available at http://nrdata.nps.gov/geology/gri_data/gis/gate/gwbr_metadata_faq.html). Users of this data are cautioned about the locational accuracy of features within this dataset. Based on the source map scale of 1:100,000 and United States National Map Accuracy Standards features are within (horizontally) 127 meters or 416.7 feet of their actual location as presented by this dataset. Users of this data should thus not assume the location of features is exactly where they are portrayed in Google Earth, ArcGIS or other software used to display this dataset. All GIS and ancillary tables were produced as per the NPS GRI Geology-GIS Geodatabase Data Model v. 2.3. (available at: http://science.nature.nps.gov/im/inventory/geology/GeologyGISDataModel.cfm). The GIS data projection is NAD83, UTM Zone 18N, however, for the KML/KMZ format the data is projected upon export to WGS84 Geographic, the native coordinate system used by Google Earth. The data is within the area of interest of Gateway National Recreation Area.

Citywide Geographic Information System (GIS) land cover layer that displays land cover classification, plus pervious and impervious area and percentage at the parcel level, separated into 5 geodatabases, one per borough. DEP hosted a webinar on this study on June 23, 2020. A recording of the webinar, plus a PDF of the webinar presentation, accompany this dataset and are available for download. This data set features a hyperlink to the New York State Department of Transportation’s (NYSDOT) Roadway Inventory System (RIS) Viewer web page, which includes a link to an interactive map. The RIS Data Viewer is a geospatially based Geographic Information System (GIS) application for displaying data contained in the roadway inventory database. The interactive map has two viewable data categories or ‘layers’. The two layers include: Federal Aid Eligible Public Roadway System and Non-Federal Aid Eligible State Routes throughout New York State.

A 6-in resolution 8-class land cover dataset derived from the 2017 Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data capture. This dataset was developed as part of an updated urban tree canopy assessment and therefore represents a ''top-down" mapping perspective in which tree canopy overhanging features is assigned to the tree canopy class. The eight land cover classes mapped were: (1) Tree Canopy, (2) Grass\Shrubs, (3) Bare Soil, (4) Water, (5) Buildings, (6) Roads, (7) Other Impervious, and (8) Railroads. The primary sources used to derive this land cover layer were 2017 LiDAR (1-ft post spacing) and 2016 4-band orthoimagery (0.5-ft resolution).
