KEY DRIVERS The Emergence of Big Data & IoT and Increasing Data Proliferation are driving the market growth One of the most significant drivers of the data quality tools market is the emergence of Big Data and the Internet of Things (IoT). As organizations expand their digital operations, they are increasingly reliant on real-time data collected from a vast network of connected devices, including industrial machines, smart home appliances, wearable tech, and autonomous vehicles. This rapid increase in data sources results in immense volumes of complex, high-velocity data that must be processed and analyzed efficiently. However, the quality of this data often varies due to inconsistent formats, transmission errors, or incomplete inputs. Data quality tools are vital in this context, enabling real-time profiling, validation, and cleansing to ensure reliable insights. For Instance, General Electric (GE), uses data quality solutions across its Predix IoT platform to ensure the integrity of sensor data for predictive maintenance and performance optimization. (Source: https://www.ge.com/news/press-releases/ge-predix-software-platform-offers-20-potential-increase-performance-across-customer#:~:text=APM%20Powered%20by%20Predix%20-%20GE%20is%20expanding,total%20cost%20of%20ownership%2C%20and%20reduce%20operational%20risks.) According to a recent Gartner report, over 60% of companies identified poor data quality as the leading challenge in adopting big data technologies. Therefore, the growing dependence on big data and IoT ecosystems is directly driving the need for robust, scalable, and intelligent data quality tools to ensure accurate and actionable analytics. Another major factor fueling the growth of the data quality tools market is the increasing proliferation of enterprise data across sectors. As organizations accelerate their digital transformation journeys, they generate and collect enormous volumes of structured and unstructured data daily—from internal systems like ERPs and CRMs to external sources like social media, IoT devices, and third-party APIs. If not managed properly, this data can become fragmented, outdated, and error-prone, leading to poor analytics and misguided business decisions. Data quality tools are essential for profiling, cleansing, deduplicating, and enriching data to ensure it remains trustworthy and usable. For Instance, Walmart implemented enterprise-wide data quality solutions to clean and harmonize inventory and customer data across global operations. This initiative improved demand forecasting and streamlined its massive supply chain. (Source: https://tech.walmart.com/content/walmart-global-tech/en_us/blog/post/walmarts-ai-powered-inventory-system-brightens-the-holidays.html). According to a Dresner Advisory Services report, data quality ranks among the top priorities for companies focusing on data governance.(Source: https://www.informatica.com/blogs/2024-dresner-advisory-services-data-analytics-and-governance-and-catalog-market-studies.html) In conclusion, as data volumes continue to skyrocket and data environments grow more complex, the demand for data quality tools becomes critical for enabling informed decision-making, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance. Restraints One of the primary challenges restraining the growth of the data quality tools market is the lack of skilled personnel wit...

The data given below contains the information about the loan application at the time of applying for the loan. It contains two types of scenarios: The client with payment difficulties: he/she had late payment more than X days on at least one of the first Y instalments of the loan in our sample, All other cases: All other cases when the payment is paid on time.
When a client applies for a loan, there are four types of decisions that could be taken by the client/company): Approved: The Company has approved loan Application Cancelled: The client cancelled the application sometime during approval. Either the client changed her/his mind about the loan or in some cases due to a higher risk of the client, he received worse pricing which he did not want. Refused: The company had rejected the loan (because the client does not meet their requirements etc.). Unused offer: Loan has been cancelled by the client but at different stages of the process.
We study processing and acquisition of objective information regarding qualities that people care about, intelligence and beauty. Subjects receiving negative feedback did not respect the strength of these signals, were far less predictable in their updating behavior and exhibited an aversion to new information. In response to good news, inference conformed more closely to Bayes' Rule, both in accuracy and precision. Signal direction did not affect updating or acquisition in our neutral control. Unlike past work, our design varied direction and agreement with priors independently. The results indicate that confirmation bias is driven by direction; confirmation alone had no effect. Hype surrounds the promotions, aspirations, and notions of “artificial intelligence (AI) for social good” and its related permutations. These terms, as used in data science and particularly in public discourse, are vague. Far from being irrelevant to data scientists or practitioners of AI, the terms create the public notion of the systems built. Through a critical reflection, I explore how notions of AI for social good are vague, offer insufficient criteria for judgement, and elide the externalities and structural interdependence of AI systems. Instead, the field known as “AI for social good” is best understood and referred to as “AI for not bad.”

Centralized metadata storage offers comprehensive information about datasets, including source, schema, data quality, and lineage, enhancing data asset comprehension, enabling data governance, and providing users with the necessary context for effective data utilization. Key metadata types include technical and business metadata.
Data catalogs support various deployment options, including on-premises and cloud, catering to enterprise applications, business intelligence (BI), healthcare, e-commerce, and other industries. They integrate with various data sources, such as data lakes, data warehouses, NoSQL databases, and unstructured data, ensuring seamless data sharing among professional workforces with diverse technical skills. Data catalogs also support data security, adhering to security frameworks and addressing data breaches, while enabling data catalog management solutions, business glossaries, and data quality reports.

based on the consolidation of the ifremer networks resco (https://doi.org/10.17882/53007) and velyger (https://doi.org/10.17882/41888), the general objective of the ecoscopa project is to analyze the causes of spatio-temporal variability of the main life traits (larval stage - recruitment - reproduction - growth – survival – cytogenetic anomalies) of the pacific oyster in france and follow their evolution over the long term in the context of climate change.the high frequency environmental data are monitored since 2010 at several stations next to oyster farm areas in eight bays of the french coast (from south to north): thau lagoon and bays of arcachon, marennes oléron, bourgneuf, vilaine, brest, mont saint-michel and veys (see map below). sea temperature and practical salinity are recorded at 15-mins frequency. for several sites, fluorescence and turbidity data are also available.data are acquired with automatic probes directly put in oyster bags or fixed on metallic structure at 50 cm over the sediment bottom, except for thau lagoon whose probes are deployed at 2m below sea surface. since 2010, several types of probes were used: stp2, stps, smatch or wisens ctd from nke (www.nke-instrumentation.fr) and recently eco flntu (www.seabird.com). the probes are regularly qualified by calibrations in the ifremer coastal laboratories.precision estimated of the complete data collection process is: temperature (±0.1°c), salinity (±0.5psu), in vivo fluorescence (±10%), turbidity (±10%). the data are qualified into several levels: 0-no quality check performed, 1-good data, 2-probably good data, 3-probably bad data, 4-bad data, 5-value changed, 7-nominal value, 8-interpolated value, 9-missing value.

This paper explains the size and value "anomalies" in stock returns using an economically motivated two-beta model. We break the beta of a stock with the market portfolio into two components, one reflecting news about the market's future cash flows and one reflecting news about the market's discount rates. Intertemporal asset pricing theory suggests that the former should have a higher price of risk; thus beta, like cholesterol, comes in "bad" and "good" varieties. Empirically, we find that value stocks and small stocks have considerably higher cash-flow betas than growth stocks and large stocks, and this can explain their higher average returns. The poor performance of the capital asset pricing model (CAPM) since 1963 is explained by the fact that growth stocks and high-past-beta stocks have predominantly good betas with low risk prices.
The statistic shows the problems caused by poor quality data for enterprises in North America, according to a survey of North American IT executives conducted by 451 Research in 2015. As of 2015, 44 percent of respondents indicated that having poor quality data can result in extra costs for the business.
