    Description

The National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses (NSSRN) Download makes data from the survey readily available to users in a one-stop download. The Survey has been conducted approximately every four years since 1977. For each survey year, HRSA has prepared two Public Use File databases in flat ASCII file format without delimiters. The 2008 data are also offerred in SAS and SPSS formats. Information likely to point to an individual in a sparsely-populated county has been withheld. General Public Use Files are State-based and provide information on nurses without identifying the County and Metropolitan Area in which they live or work. County Public Use Files provide most, but not all, the same information on the nurse from the General Public Use File, and also identifies the County and Metropolitan Areas in which the nurses live or work. NSSRN data are to be used for research purposes only and may not be used in any manner to identify individual respondents.

    Description

The American Community Survey (ACS) provides detailed demographic, social, economic, commuting and housing statistics based on continuous survey data collection. Data collected over the most recent 5 years are batched, summarized and published the following December.

These files contain summary data for Census Block Groups (CensusACSBlockGroup.xlsx), Tracts (CensusACSTract.xlsx), minor civil divisions (CensusACSMCD.xlsx), school districts (CensusACSSchoolDistrict.xlsx), and ZIP code tabulation areas (CensusACSZipCode.xlsx). No shapefiles are included, but these data files can be joined to associated shapefile datasets available elsewhere on this site. To facilitate this, the data files are also available as DBF tables and in a geodatabase.

Starting with the 2016-2020 data, tract and block group boundaries are those used in the 2020 Census. Starting with the 2017-2021 data, ZIP Code Tabulation Areas are those defined based on the 2020 Census. If you need the most recent ACS data for the tract and block group boundaries used in the 2010 Census, contact Matt Schroeder (information below).

The Monthly Outcome Survey (MOS) was designed to assess COVID-19 vaccine uptake as well as beliefs, intentions, and behaviors relevant to COVID-19 vaccination at a point in time. The survey fielded on a monthly basis from January 2021 to April 2023. When the MOS first launched, it focused on the primary series of COVID-19 vaccines; in later waves, it was expanded to assess parents’ intentions to get their children vaccinated or boosted and to track booster and updated vaccine uptake and readiness. The MOS fielded as part of an online omnibus survey, conducted with a cross-sectional sample of approximately 5,000 U.S. adults each month.

NCHS has linked data from various surveys with 1999-2013 Medicare program enrollment and health care utilization and expenditure data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Linkage of the NCHS survey participants with the CMS Medicare data provides the opportunity to study changes in health status, health care utilization and costs, and prescription drug use among Medicare enrollees. Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people who are 65 or older, certain younger people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease.

    Description

This table contains data from the community survey conducted as part of an Audit of the City's Cultural Centers. We surveyed members of the Austin community using a survey developed by the audit team. Survey questions generally asked respondents' opinions on cultural center programs, staff, fees, and facilities. The survey opened January 3 and closed January 27, 2020. Austin community members were invited to take the survey through social media outreach and direct email invitations. The survey and outreach materials were written in English and translated into Spanish, Vietnamese, and Simplified Chinese. A total of 1,330 community members responded to the survey. Respondents were asked only to respond for centers they had visited in the last two years and could respond for more than one center. The comments detailed in this table were in response to open-ended survey items that allowed respondents to give opinions or suggestions about each center's programming, fees, staff, and facilities. Any open-ended responses answered in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese were translated prior to analysis. To gauge the general sentiment of the responses, each was categorized as "Positive," "Negative," "Suggestion," or "N/A." During analysis, some comments were deemed more relevant to other open-ended survey items than the items for which they were originally written. These responses were re-assigned to the survey items that more closely aligned with their subject.

Data from: American Community Survey, 5-year Series

King County, Washington census tracts with nonoverlapping vintages of the 5-year American Community Survey (ACS) estimates starting in 2010 of over 50 attributes of the most requested data derived from the U.S. Census Bureau's demographic profiles (DP02-DP05). Also includes the most recent release annually with the vintage identified in the "ACS Vintage" field.

The census tract boundaries match the vintage of the ACS data (currently 2010 and 2020) so please note the geographic changes between the decades.

Tracts have been coded as being within the City of Seattle as well as assigned to neighborhood groups called "Community Reporting Areas". These areas were created after the 2000 census to provide geographically consistent neighborhoods through time for reporting U.S. Census Bureau data. This is not an attempt to identify neighborhood boundaries as defined by neighborhoods themselves.

    Vintages: 2010, 2015, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023
    ACS Table(s): DP02, DP03, DP04, DP05

The United States Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS):
This ready-to-use layer can be used within ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, its configurable apps, dashboards, Story Maps, custom apps, and mobile apps. Data can also be exported for offline workflows. Please cite the Census and ACS when using this data.

    Data Note from the Census:
Data are based on a sample and are subject to sampling variability. The degree of uncertainty for an estimate arising from sampling variability is represented through the use of a margin of error. The value shown here is the 90 percent margin of error. The margin of error can be interpreted as providing a 90 percent probability that the interval defined by the estimate minus the margin of error and the estimate plus the margin of error (the lower and upper confidence bounds) contains the true value. In addition to sampling variability, the ACS estimates are subject to nonsampling error (for a discussion of nonsampling variability, see Accuracy of the Data). The effect of nonsampling error is not represented in these tables.

The fourth round of RANDS (RANDS 4) was administered by NORC at the University of Chicago using the AmeriSpeak Panel from July 17, 2020 to August 24, 2020. RANDS 4 contained the embedded probe questions and experiments as in previous rounds of RANDS, but had an emphasis on disability and the use of opioid pain relievers. RANDS 4 has a known survey sampling design and can be used to produce nationally and sub-nationally representative estimates.
