On 17 March 2020, all routine inspections were suspended due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. As part of our phased return to routine inspection, we carried out interim visits and monitoring visits to further education and skills providers from 28 September 2020.
Following the government’s announcement about the return to on-site education from 8 March and the DfE’s guidance setting out what this means for FE colleges and providers, we reviewed our face-to-face inspection activity in further education and skills providers.
We began new provider monitoring visits (NPMVs) to new providers that had not yet received a monitoring visit on 15 March 2021 and full inspections to new providers who had only had an NPMV on 1 June 2021.

The National Energy Efficiency Data-Framework was set up to provide a better understanding of energy use and intensity in domestic and non-domestic buildings.
These documents provide data on non-domestic energy use.
This information covers fires, false alarms and other incidents attended by firecrews, and the statistics include the numbers of incidents, fires, fatalities and casualties as well as information on response times to fires. The Home Office also collect information on the workforce, fire prevention work, health and safety and firefighter pensions. All data tables on fire statistics are below.
The Home Office has responsibility for fire services in England. The vast majority of data tables produced by the Home Office are for England but some (0101, 0103, 0201, 0501, 1401) tables are for Great Britain split by nation. In the past the Department for Communities and Local Government (who previously had responsibility for fire services in England) produced data tables for Great Britain and at times the UK. The British Geological Survey (BGS) holds an archive of multibeam backscatter data from BGS, Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) and other organisations. The data are stored within the National Geoscience Data Centre (NGDC) and the Marine Environmental Data and Information Network (MEDIN) Data Archive Centre (DAC) for Geology and Geophysics. BGS works with the partner DAC for bathymetry at the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) to archive backscatter data. The majority of the data were collected and processed for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) under the Civil Hydrography Programme (CHP). Backscatter data is useful for seabed characterisation for geological and habitat mapping. View the backscatter image layer and download backscatter data (geotiff) via the BGS Offshore GeoIndex www.bgs.ac.uk/GeoIndex/offshore.htm. The data underlying the images are available on request enquiries@bgs.ac.uk. If further backscatter processing is required, BGS can provide a quote. View and download the related bathymetry data via the UKHO INSPIRE portal https://www.gov.uk/guidance/inspire-portal-and-medin-bathymetry-data-archive-centre.
Data will be updated monthly, around the 10th working day of each month.
