Data about the age of people with confirmed cases of COVID-19 was provided as part of the daily updates released by the Tennessee Department of Heath beginning on March 17, 2020. They are posted to the department's coronavirus disease web page: https://www.tn.gov/health/cedep/ncov.html. The counts are broken into 10-year age bands and are provided at the statewide-level. Date (DATE) - Date of report Age (AGE) - 10-year age breakdown of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Tennessee Total Case Count (TOT_CASE_COUNT) - Total number of people ever to have a confirmed case of COVID-19 in a given age range Share of Total Cases (SHARE_CASE_TOT) - For the given date, the share of people in a given age range as a proportion of the total number of people ever to have a confirmed case of COVID-19 New Case Count (NEW_CASE_COUNT) - The number of new cases reported to have a confirmed case of COVID-19 in a given age range since the report on the previous day Share of new cases (SHARE_NEW_CASES) - The share of people in a given age range reported as having a new confirmed case of COVID-19 in proportion to the total number of new cases reported since the previous day Total Deaths (DEATHS_TOT) - Number of COVID-19 related deaths that were ever reported for the age groupNew Deaths (DEATHS_NEW) - Number of COVID-19 related deaths that were reported since the previous dayShare of total deaths (SHARE_DEATHS_TOTAL) - Share of COVID-19 related deaths for the age group as percentage of the total reports deathsFID - Auto-generated unique feature ID. The classification of the age ranges changed has varied slightly. On March 17th and 18th, data was provided for five age ranges. This was expanded to the current 10-year age classifications on March 19th.Local health departments may provide additional county-level data.

This report describes deaths by suicide in Tennessee, along with the demographic characteristics of those deaths. The report also describes emergency department and hospitalization visits for suicide attempt and ideation. Through a comprehensive review of data and resources, along with input from key stakeholders, this report identifies specific opportunities for prevention of deaths by suicide.

After over two years of public reporting, the State Profile Report will no longer be produced and distributed after February 2023. The final release was on February 23, 2023. We want to thank everyone who contributed to the design, production, and review of this report and we hope that it provided insight into the data trends throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The State Profile Report (SPR) is generated by the Data Strategy and Execution Workgroup in the Joint Coordination Cell, in collaboration with the White House. It is managed by an interagency team with representatives from multiple agencies and offices (including the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, and the Indian Health Service). The SPR provides easily interpretable information on key indicators for each state, down to the county level.

It is a weekly snapshot in time that:

• Focuses on recent outcomes in the last seven days and changes relative to the month prior
• Provides additional contextual information at the county level for each state, and includes national level information
• Supports rapid visual interpretation of results with color thresholds
