This file assembles data from multiple sources, but many of the measures are from the ARDA's coding of the 2003 US State Department's International Religious Freedom Reports. This coding produced data on 195 different countries and territories (see Grim and Finke 2006 for a list of countries coded), but excluded the United States. Additional data on religious regulation and favoritism in the smaller countries not covered by the State Department Reports were provided by researchers at the World Christian Database. In addition, this project assembled (with permission) other cross-national measures of interest to researchers on religion, economics, and politics. They include adherent information from the World Christian Database, scales from Freedom House and the Heritage Foundation, and various socio-economic measures from the United Nations. Measures for religious persecution (AESTIMA) and ethnic identity (DETHNIC) were added to this file in August 2007.
(Note: This dataset was previously available for download under the title "Cross-National Data: Religion Indexes, Religious Adherents, and Other Data.")
The RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) is collaborating with the Heritage Lottery Fund to better understand the links between heritage and identity at the local scale. They’ve analysed over 100 datasets to produce a Heritage Index to help people understand local heritage assets and activities, and access relevant data through a single site. Data ranges from the length of canals and size of protected wildlife sites, through to the number of historic local businesses and the proportion of residents visiting museums and archives.
The Index is designed to stimulate debate about what is valued from the past, and how that influences the identity of its current residents. This can help a place achieve its aspirations to grow and prosper, socially and economically.
To help you interpret the key findings from the data, they've produced an interactive guide: What can data reveal about Britain’s heritage? https://www.thersa.org/discover/publications-and-articles/reports/seven-...

This file assembles data from multiple sources on 256 countries and territories, and also aggregates this data globally and by 22 world regions. The file presents most of the data available on the ARDA National Profiles as of 2018 in a single downloadable dataset. Many of the measures are from the ARDA's coding of the 2008 US State Department's International Religious Freedom (IRF) Reports. This coding produced data on 198 different countries and territories (see the Summary file for the International Religious Freedom Data, 2008 for a list of countries coded, available for download from the ARDA), but excluded the United States. In addition, this project assembled (with permission) other cross-national measures of interest to researchers on religion, economics, and politics. They include adherent information from the World Christian Database, scales from Freedom House, the Religion and State Project, the Center for Systemic Peace, the Heritage Foundation, the Correlates of War Project, the Varieties of Democracy Project, the CIRI Human Rights Data Project, and various socio-economic measures from the United Nations, World Bank, and the CIA's World Factbook. The source of each variable in this dataset is acknowledged in the variable's description, except in the case of those variables generated by ARDA researchers' coding of the Department of State's IRF Reports.

In 2018 the IPERION-CH Grounds Database was presented to examine how the data produced through the scientific examination of historic painting preparation or grounds samples, from multiple institutions could be combined in a flexible digital form. Exploring the presentation of interrelated high resolution images, text, complex metadata and procedural documentation. The original main user interface is live, though password protected at this time. Work within the SSHOC project aimed to reformat the data to create a more FAIR data-set, so in addition to mapping it to a standard ontology, to increase Interoperability, it has also been made available in the form of open linkable data combined with a SPARQL end-point. A draft version of this live data presentation can been found Here.
This is a draft data-set and further work is planned to debug and improve its semantic structure. This deposit contains the CIDOC-CRM mapped data formatted in XML and an example model diagram representing some of the key relationships covered in the data-set.

Established in 1990, the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund (KHLCF) is the primary source of state funding for the purchase and management of natural areas. It is used to purchase land from willing sellers for nature preserves, state parks, state forests, wildlife management areas, environmental education areas, wild rivers and wetlands. The KHLCF Board protects each site in perpetuity with a conservation easement or deed restriction. Legislation established four priorities for land conservation: areas that are a habitat for rare and endangered species, areas important to migratory birds, areas that perform important natural functions that are subject to alteration or loss, or areas to be preserved in their natural state for public use, outdoor recreation and education.

RESOMAR (Réseau des Stations et Observatoires Marins) is a network of marine stations and observatories along the coasts of France. All benthic data collected in the coastal and littoral ecosystems at these stations are stored in the RESOMAR Benthos Database. The purpose of these data is to use them scientifically to address issues of marine conservation at the national level. The data were collected by researchers located at the marine stations and observatories along the French coasts. The Benthos Database contains about 300.000 species occurrences. The database also contains historical records. Currently (January 2013), the Inventaire National du Patrimoine Naturel (INPN) shows only part of the database, i.e. only the data on decapod crustaceans (species, location, site, date and observer name).

DANAM is the Digital Archive for Nepalese Art and Monuments and the heart of the Nepal Heritage Documentation Project (NHDP), located at the Heidelberg Centre of Transcultural Studies (HCTS) and the Academy of Sciences (AdW) and operated in cooperation with Saraf Foundation and the Department of Archaeology, Nepal. The database offers visual and textual documentation of heritage monuments, which are threatened by urbanisation and natural disasters. Data sets contain structured information on the monuments, i.e. details of their location, history, architectural structure, and religious and social activities. It presents photographs, maps, plans and drawings, transcriptions of inscriptions, and historical and anthropological reports. Descriptions are available in both English and Nepali. References to scholarly documentation and resources enable further research interests to be explored. DANAM is based on Arches (v.4), an open-source, geospatially-enabled software platform for cultural heritage inventory and management, developed jointly by the Getty Conservation Institute and World Monuments Fund. Funded by the British Arcadia Foundation, the entire content of DANAM is is openly accessible to the general public. A large part of the data is also stored in heidICON and heiDATA.
