This GIS data layer contains all the locatable oil-and-gas wells in Ohio. The feature is derived from coordinates obtained from the Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management (DOGRM) oil and gas well database – Risk Based Data Management System (RBDMS). The RBDMS database has a long history and is a comprehensive collection of well data from historic pre-1980 paper well records (digitized by the Division of Geological Survey (DGS)) to post-1980 DOGRM database solutions.Since 1860, it is estimated that more than 267,000 oil-and-gas wells have been drilled in Ohio. The compressed file also includes a feature used to connect the surface location to the bottom location of a well that has been drilled directionally or horizontally. The Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2025. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. No line work was adjusted between county boundaries.The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. This dataset is a collection of GeoTIFF and MrSID format natural color orthophotos covering Holmes and Washington County, Florida. An orthophoto is remotely sensed image data in which displacement of features in the image caused by terrain relief and sensor orientation have been mathematically removed. Orthophotography combines the image characteristics of a photograph with the geometric qualities of a map. Imagery was acquired for the Counties at 0.9 foot ground sample distance (GSD) resolution. The imagery was captured at 12-bit radiometric resolution and converted to 8-bit radiometric resolution during post processing. The imagery was captured with 30% sidelap between all adjacent flight lines. The imagery was obtained and processed by all digital means beginning with data acquisition using a Z/I Imaging Digital Mapping Camera (DMCII). The orthophotos are available in GeoTIFF and MrSID form. The projected coordinate system is State Plane Florida North (FIPS Zone 903), NAD 83 HARN, GRS 80, Units Survey Feet.

Download .zipThe C, D Law Coal Permit Maps county coverage sets were developed using the original mine maps for over 2500 coal mining and reclamation permits issued under Ohio law and finalized (i.e. operations completed) between 1975 and December 2002.

Ohio started issuing coal mining licenses in the 1940s. The earliest license and permit requirements were minimal and did not include submittal of a map or other delineation of the mined area. Significant changes to legal requirements are reflected by the alphabetical designation of each subsequent law revision, i.e., earlier A-law permits (circa 1966) through contemporary D-law permits. The ODNR-Division of Mineral Resources Management (DMRM) has attempted to create as complete a database as possible from available archive records, however, research has identified missing permit files. Thus, this GIS data is known to be incomplete due to the loss of archival records.

The C and D law permit maps were scanned at a density of 200 dots per inch (dpi). The scanned image was then heads-up digitized using Microstation computer aided design software (CAD) to create design files grouped by county location. Data captured within the design file includes permit boundary, affected boundary, test hole locations, and associated attributes. The design file was then "placed-to-ground" using ODNR Division of Geological Survey's "ODNR Land Sub-division Background Design Files" NAD83 State Plane coverages and DOQQ aerial images obtained through the Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program (OGRIP)/Ohio Department of Administrative Services. The design file was then converted to ARC/INFO coverage and projected to State Plane Ohio Coordinates, NAD83:

Download .zipThis coverage was extracted from the 1994 statewide land cover inventory of Ohio produced by Bruce R. Motsch and Gary M. Schaal of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The land cover inventory for the State of Ohio was produced by the digital image processing of Landsat Thematic Mapper Data. The Thematic Mapper is a multi-spectral scanner that collects electromagnetic radiation reflected from the earth's surface in the visible, near infrared and mid-infrared wavelength bands. The resolution of the Thematic Mapper data is a 30 meter by 30 meter cell. The computer analysis of the data isolates unique spectral classes that relate to land cover characteristics.

The land cover inventory was produced from Thematic Mapper data acquired in September and October 1994. The data was classified into the general land cover categories of urban, agriculture/open urban areas, shrub/scrub, wooded, open water, non-forested wetlands and barren.

The land cover information reflects the conditions of the satellite data during the specific year and season the data was acquired. The Thematic Mapper data was processed using ERDAS image processing software. The data was originally created in raster format and georeferenced to Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) zone 17 coordinates NAD27. The data can be combined with other georeferenced digital data layers.

The data is also available in its original ERDAS image format.
