    This shapefile depicts Horry County's vision of the future growth through the year 2040. This shapefile is intended to inform rezoning requests. Alterations to the Future Land Use Map must be approved by Horry County Planning Commission and Horry County Council. This shapefile does not represent zoning. The Future Land Use Map will be revisited by Planning Commission and County Council every 5 to 10 years.

    Description

    This shapefile indicates the name and geographic extent of all existing and planned major residential subdivisions. Incomplete subdivisions include master planned developments and zoning districts with a specific number of approved units, such as PDDs, PUDs, and MRDs. These numbers represent the maximum number of units allowable. Unit counts are not included for small, non-master planned developments, such as a farm tract that has been divided into 11 lots.The remaining units for incomplete subdivisions is broken down by single family and multifamily. Remaining number of units was determined utilizing 2017 building footprint data and building permit data. This data set is updated annually.COLUMN DESCRIPTIONS:SUBDIVISION_NAMEREZONING CASE - indicates rezoning case number, if applicableSTATUS- indicates whether the development is complete, incomplete, or an active residential rezoning case pending approval.COMMUNITY- area of the CountyACRESTYPE- indicates if the development is a mobile home park, age-restricted or assisted living community, golf course, or future subdivision. This data is incomplete and is being updated as time allows.MF_APPROVED/SF_APPROVED- the number of multi-family or single-family units that were approved through the rezoning or development review process. This is an indicator of the maximum number of units allowable.SF_PLATTED - the number of platted single-family lots.MF_CONSTRUCT/SF_CONSTRUCT - the number of multi-family or single-family dwelling units.MF_REMAINING/SF_REMAINING - the number of multi-family or single-family dwelling units remaining.TOTAL_REMAINING - the total number of multi-family or single-family dwelling units remaining.UPDATED- date last updated
