    Description

    Provides basic information for general acute care hospital buildings such as height, number of stories, the building code used to design the building, and the year it was completed. The data is sorted by counties and cities. Structural Performance Categories (SPC ratings) are also provided. SPC ratings range from 1 to 5 with SPC 1 assigned to buildings that may be at risk of collapse during a strong earthquake and SPC 5 assigned to buildings reasonably capable of providing services to the public following a strong earthquake. Where SPC ratings have not been confirmed by the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) yet, the rating index is followed by 's'. A URL for the building webpage in HCAI/OSHPD eServices Portal is also provided to view projects related to any building.

It is released under the Open Government License - Canada. The ODHF compiles open, publicly available, and directly-provided data on health facilities across Canada. Data sources include regional health authorities, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, and public health and professional healthcare bodies. This database aims to provide enhanced access to a harmonized listing of health facilities across Canada by making them available as open data. This database is a component of the Linkable Open Data Environment (LODE).

    Description

    This feature class/shapefile contains locations of Hospitals for 50 US states, Washington D.C., US territories of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, and Virgin Islands. The dataset only includes hospital facilities based on data acquired from various state departments or federal sources which has been referenced in the SOURCE field. Hospital facilities which do not occur in these sources will be not present in the database. The source data was available in a variety of formats (pdfs, tables, webpages, etc.) which was cleaned and geocoded and then converted into a spatial database. The database does not contain nursing homes or health centers. Hospitals have been categorized into children, chronic disease, critical access, general acute care, long term care, military, psychiatric, rehabilitation, special, and women based on the range of the available values from the various sources after removing similarities.

    Description

    The Health Statistics and Health Research Database is Estonian largest set of health-related statistics and survey results administrated by National Institute for Health Development. Use of the database is free of charge.

    The database consists of eight main areas divided into sub-areas. The data tables included in the sub-areas are assigned unique codes. The data tables presented in the database can be both viewed in the Internet environment, and downloaded using different file formats (.px, .xlsx, .csv, .json). You can download the detailed database user manual here (.pdf).

    The database is constantly updated with new data. Dates of updating the existing data tables and adding new data are provided in the release calendar. The date of the last update to each table is provided after the title of the table in the list of data tables.

    A contact person for each sub-area is provided under the "Definitions and Methodology" link of each sub-area, so you can ask additional information about the data published in the database. Contact this person for any further questions and data requests.

    Description

    On an annual basis (individual hospital fiscal year), individual hospitals and hospital systems report detailed facility-level data on services capacity, inpatient/outpatient utilization, patients, revenues and expenses by type and payer, balance sheet and income statement.

    Due to the large size of the complete dataset, a selected set of data representing a wide range of commonly used data items, has been created that can be easily managed and downloaded. The selected data file includes general hospital information, utilization data by payer, revenue data by payer, expense data by natural expense category, financial ratios, and labor information.

    There are two groups of data contained in this dataset: 1) Selected Data - Calendar Year: To make it easier to compare hospitals by year, hospital reports with report periods ending within a given calendar year are grouped together. The Pivot Tables for a specific calendar year are also found here. 2) Selected Data - Fiscal Year: Hospital reports with report periods ending within a given fiscal year (July-June) are grouped together.

    Description

    After May 3, 2024, this dataset and webpage will no longer be updated because hospitals are no longer required to report data on COVID-19 hospital admissions, and hospital capacity and occupancy data, to HHS through CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network. Data voluntarily reported to NHSN after May 1, 2024, will be available starting May 10, 2024, at COVID Data Tracker Hospitalizations.

    The following dataset provides facility-level data for hospital utilization aggregated on a weekly basis (Sunday to Saturday). These are derived from reports with facility-level granularity across two main sources: (1) HHS TeleTracking, and (2) reporting provided directly to HHS Protect by state/territorial health departments on behalf of their healthcare facilities.

    The hospital population includes all hospitals registered with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as of June 1, 2020. It includes non-CMS hospitals that have reported since July 15, 2020. It does not include psychiatric, rehabilitation, Indian Health Service (IHS) facilities, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facilities, Defense Health Agency (DHA) facilities, and religious non-medical facilities.

    For a given entry, the term “collection_week” signifies the start of the period that is aggregated. For example, a “collection_week” of 2020-11-15 means the average/sum/coverage of the elements captured from that given facility starting and including Sunday, November 15, 2020, and ending and including reports for Saturday, November 21, 2020.

    Reported elements include an append of either “_coverage”, “_sum”, or “_avg”.

    • A “_coverage” append denotes how many times the facility reported that element during that collection week.
    • A “_sum” append denotes the sum of the reports provided for that facility for that element during that collection week.
    • A “_avg” append is the average of the reports provided for that facility for that element during that collection week.

    The file will be updated weekly. No statistical analysis is applied to impute non-response. For averages, calculations are based on the number of values collected for a given hospital in that collection week. Suppression is applied to the file for sums and averages less than four (4). In these cases, the field will be replaced with “-999,999”.

    This data is preliminary and subject to change as more data become available. Data is available starting on July 31, 2020.

    Sometimes, reports for a given facility will be provided to both HHS TeleTracking and HHS Protect. When this occurs, to ensure that there are not duplicate reports, deduplication is applied according to prioritization rules within HHS Protect.

    For influenza fields listed in the file, the current HHS guidance marks these fields as optional. As a result, coverage of these elements are varied.

    Description

    The Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Kids' Inpatient Database (KID) is the largest publicly available all-payer pediatric inpatient care database in the United States, containing data from two to three million hospital stays each year. Its large sample size is ideal for developing national and regional estimates and enables analyses of rare conditions, such as congenital anomalies, as well as uncommon treatments, such as organ transplantation. Developed through a Federal-State-Industry partnership sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, HCUP data inform decision making at the national, State, and community levels. The KID is a sample of pediatric discharges from 4,000 U.S. hospitals in the HCUP State Inpatient Databases yielding approximately two to three million unweighted hospital discharges for newborns, children, and adolescents per year. About 10 percent of normal newborns and 80 percent of other neonatal and pediatric stays are selected from each hospital that is sampled for patients younger than 21 years of age. The KID contains clinical and resource use information included in a typical discharge abstract, with safeguards to protect the privacy of individual patients, physicians, and hospitals (as required by data sources). It includes discharge status, diagnoses, procedures, patient demographics (e.g., sex, age), expected source of primary payment (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, self-pay, and other insurance types), and hospital charges and cost. Restricted access data files are available with a data use agreement and brief online security training.

    Abstract

    👂💉 EHRSHOT is a dataset for benchmarking the few-shot performance of foundation models for clinical prediction tasks. EHRSHOT contains de-identified structured data (e.g., diagnosis and procedure codes, medications, lab values) from the electronic health records (EHRs) of 6,739 Stanford Medicine patients and includes 15 prediction tasks. Unlike MIMIC-III/IV and other popular EHR datasets, EHRSHOT is longitudinal and includes data beyond ICU and emergency department patients.

    Description

    The dataset contains information of 213 cancer patients undergoing clinical or surgical treatment characterized on sociodemographic and clinical data as well as data from the Care Transition Measure (CTM 15-Brazil). Data collection was carried out 7 to 30 days after their discharge from hospital from June to August 2019. Understanding these data can contribute to improving quality of care transitions and avoiding hospital readmissions. To this end, this dataset contains a broad array of variables:

    The project from which these data were extracted was approved by the institution’s research ethics committee (approval n. 3.266.259/2019) at Associação Hospital de Caridade Ijuí, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

    Description

    The Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) Nationwide Readmissions Database (NRD) is a unique and powerful database designed to support various types of analyses of national readmission rates for all payers and the uninsured. The NRD includes discharges for patients with and without repeat hospital visits in a year and those who have died in the hospital. Repeat stays may or may not be related. The criteria to determine the relationship between hospital admissions is left to the analyst using the NRD. This database addresses a large gap in health care data - the lack of nationally representative information on hospital readmissions for all ages. Outcomes of interest include national readmission rates, reasons for returning to the hospital for care, and the hospital costs for discharges with and without readmissions. Unweighted, the NRD contains data from approximately 18 million discharges each year. Weighted, it estimates roughly 35 million discharges. Developed through a Federal-State-Industry partnership sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, HCUP data inform decision making at the national, State, and community levels. The NRD is drawn from HCUP State Inpatient Databases (SID) containing verified patient linkage numbers that can be used to track a person across hospitals within a State, while adhering to strict privacy guidelines. The NRD is not designed to support regional, State-, or hospital-specific readmission analyses. The NRD contains more than 100 clinical and non-clinical data elements provided in a hospital discharge abstract. Data elements include but are not limited to: diagnoses, procedures, patient demographics (e.g., sex, age), expected source of payer, regardless of expected payer, including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, self-pay, or those billed as ‘no charge, discharge month, quarter, and year, total charges, length of stay, and data elements essential to readmission analyses. The NIS excludes data elements that could directly or indirectly identify individuals. Restricted access data files are available with a data use agreement and brief online security training.

    This dataset contains data for the Healthcare Payments Data (HPD) Snapshot visualization. The Enrollment data file contains counts of claims and encounter data collected for California's statewide HPD Program. It includes counts of enrollment records, service records from medical and pharmacy claims, and the number of individuals represented across these records. Aggregate counts are grouped by payer type (Commercial, Medi-Cal, or Medicare), product type, and year. The Medical data file contains counts of medical procedures from medical claims and encounter data in HPD. Procedures are categorized using claim line procedure codes and grouped by year, type of setting (e.g., outpatient, laboratory, ambulance), and payer type. The Pharmacy data file contains counts of drug prescriptions from pharmacy claims and encounter data in HPD.     MyHospitals provides performance information for public and private hospitals in Australia. You can also compare the performance of these hospitals and find information about hospitals near you.

    The annual average number of beds available to be used by an admitted patient was grouped into the following categories: fewer than 50, 50-100, 100-200, 200-500 and more than 500. These data are as reported by states and territories to the NPHED, and are referred to in statistical publications (including Australian hospital statistics) as 'average available beds'. The average number of available beds presented may differ from counts published elsewhere. For example, counts based on bed numbers at a specified date such as 30 June may differ from the average available beds over the reporting period. Comparability of bed numbers can be affected by the range and types of patients treated by a hospital. For example, hospitals may have different proportions of beds available for general versus special purposes (such as beds or cots used exclusively for intensive care). Bed counts also include chairs for same-day admissions.

Description

Provides basic information for general acute care hospital buildings such as height, number of stories, the building code used to design the building, and the year it was completed. The data is sorted by counties and cities. Structural Performance Categories (SPC ratings) are also provided. SPC ratings range from 1 to 5 with SPC 1 assigned to buildings that may be at risk of collapse during a strong earthquake and SPC 5 assigned to buildings reasonably capable of providing services to the public following a strong earthquake. Where SPC ratings have not been confirmed by the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) yet, the rating index is followed by 's'. A URL for the building webpage in HCAI/OSHPD eServices Portal is also provided to view projects related to any building.
