    Category: Planning and DevelopmentThis layer contains the boundaries of historic districts that were designated by Houston City Council as City of Houston Historic Districts. This layer also contains the boundaries of proposed historic districts, where an application to create the historic district has been submitted to the Planning and Development Department, but has not yet been designated by Houston City Council. Proposed historic districts are subject to the Historic Preservation Ordinance.
