    Retirement Notice: This item is in mature support as of June 2024 and will be retired in December 2026. A new version of this item is available for your use. Esri recommends updating your maps and apps to use the new version.Areas protected from conversion include areas that are permanently protected and managed for biodiversity such as Wilderness Areas and National Parks. In addition to protected lands, portions of areas protected from conversion includes multiple-use lands that are subject to extractive uses such as mining, logging, and off-highway vehicle use. These areas are managed to maintain a mostly undeveloped landscape including many areas managed by the Bureau of Land Management and US Forest Service. The Protected Areas Database of the United States classifies lands into four GAP Status classes. This layer displays lands managed for biodiversity conservation (GAP Status 1 and 2) and multiple-use lands (GAP Status 3).     Description

    This CED spatial web service (ESRI ArcGIS Online Hosted Feature Layer) is a optimized quick visualization and unique value source for optimized CED web startup. The CED provides Sagebrush biome spatial representations and attribute information of conservation efforts entered into the Conservation Efforts Database (https://conservationefforts.org) by various data providers. This spatial web service is made of point and polygon layers and non-spatial tables. Feature records are group with their respective spatial feature type layers (point, polygon). The two spatial layers have identical attribute fields.Read only access to this data is ONLY available via an interactive web map on the Conservation Efforts Database website or authorized websites. Users who are interested in more access can directly contact the data providers by using the contact information available through the CED interactive map's pop-up/identify feature.The spatially explicit, web-based Conservation Efforts Database is capable of (1) allowing multiple-users to enter data from different locations, (2) uploading and storing documents, (3) linking conservation actions to one or more threats (one-to-many relationships), (4) reporting functions that would allow summaries of the conservation actions at multiple scales (e.g., management zones, populations, or priority areas for conservation), and (5) accounting for actions at multiple scales from small easements to statewide planning efforts.The sagebrush ecosystem is the largest ecosystem type in the continental U.S., providing habitat for more than 350 associated fish and wildlife species. In recognition of the need to conserve a healthy sagebrush ecosystem to provide for the long-term conservation of its inhabitants, the US Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) and United States Geological Survey (USGS) developed the Conservation Efforts Database version 2.0.0 (CED). The purpose of the CED is to efficiently capture the unprecedented level of conservation plans and actions being implemented throughout the sagebrush ecosystem and designed to capture actions not only for its most famous resident, the greater sage-grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus; hereafter, sage-grouse) but for the other species that rely on sagebrush habitats. Understanding the distribution and type of conservation actions happening across the landscape will allow visualization and quantification of the extent to which threats are being addressed.The purpose of this CED spatial web service (ESRI ArcGIS Online Hosted Feature Layer) is to provide CED data for authorized web sites or authorized users.

    This public feature service is maintained for the Nashua Regional Planning Commission's (NRPC) member municipalities, their stakeholders, and the wider GIS community. The service contains the most frequently-requested, general-purpose GIS basemap datasets that are originated and maintained by NRPC. The service can be used by any software that can ingest an ESRI rest endpoint, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online. Edits to these datasets are made in NRPC's on-premise GIS database on an ongoing basis; online published data are refreshed weekly through an automatic script. Each of the sublayers is regional in nature; i.e., the geographic coverage includes the entire 13-community region of NRPC.     Description

    This feature layer provides access to OpenStreetMap (OSM) buildings data for North America, which is updated every 1 minute with the latest edits. This hosted feature layer view is referencing a hosted feature layer of OSM polygon (closed way) data in ArcGIS Online that is updated with minutely diffs from the OSM planet file. This feature layer view includes building features defined as a query against the hosted feature layer (i.e. building is not blank).In OSM, a building is a man-made structure with a roof, standing more or less permanently in one place. These features are identified with a building tag. There are thousands of different tag values for building used in the OSM database. In this feature layer, unique symbols are used for several of the most popular building types, while lesser used types are grouped in an "other" category.Zoom in to large scales (e.g. Streets level or 1:10k scale) to see the building features display. You can click on a feature to get the name of the building (if available). The name of the building will display by default at large scales (e.g. Street level of 1:5k scale). Labels can be turned off in your map if you prefer.Create New LayerIf you would like to create a more focused version of this buildings layer displaying just one or two building types, you can do that easily! Just add the layer to a map, copy the layer in the content window, add a filter to the new layer (e.g. building is apartments), rename the layer as appropriate, and save layer. You can also change the layer symbols or popup if you like.     This CED spatial web service (ESRI ArcGIS Online Hosted Feature Layer) provides spatial representations and attribute information of conservation efforts entered into the Conservation Efforts Database (https://conservationefforts.org) by various data providers. This spatial web service is made of point, line, and polygon layers and non-spatial tables. Feature records are group with their respective spatial feature type layers (point, line, polygon). The three spatial layers have identical attribute fields.Read only access to this data is ONLY available via an interactive web map on the Conservation Efforts Database website or authorized websites.     This feature layer provides access to OpenStreetMap (OSM) highways data for Europe, which is updated periodically with the latest edits. This hosted feature layer view is referencing a hosted feature layer of OSM line (way) data in ArcGIS Online that is updated with minutely diffs from the OSM planet file. This feature layer view includes highway features defined as a query against the hosted feature layer (i.e. highway is not blank).Note: due to the size of data and volume of edits, the OSM layers for Europe currently reflect edits made within the last 30 days.In OSM, a highway describes any kind of motorway, road, street or path. These features are identified with a highway tag. There are hundreds of different tag values for highway used in the OSM database. In this feature layer, unique symbols are used for several of the most popular highway types, while lesser used types are grouped in an "other" category.Zoom in to large scales (e.g. Streets level or 1:20k scale) to see the highway features display. You can click on a feature to get the name of the highway (if available). The name of the highway will display by default at large scales (e.g. Street level of 1:5k scale). Labels can be turned off in your map if you prefer.Create New LayerIf you would like to create a more focused version of this highway layer displaying just one or two highway types, you can do that easily!     This public feature service is maintained for the Nashua Regional Planning Commission's (NRPC) member municipalities, their stakeholders, and the wider GIS community. The service contains the most frequently-requested, general-purpose GIS basemap datasets that are originated and maintained by NRPC. The service can be used by any software that can ingest an ESRI rest endpoint, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online. Edits to these datasets are made in NRPC's on-premise GIS database on an ongoing basis; online published data are refreshed weekly through an automatic script. This hosted feature view containing data specific to Brookline, NH is a derivative of NRPC Open Data - All Communities feature service which is regional in nature; i.e., the geographic coverage includes the entire NRPC region. For convenience, NRPC has published community-specific hosted feature views for each of its 13-member communities.     Description

    This feature layer provides access to OpenStreetMap (OSM) amenity data for Europe, which is updated periodically with the latest edits. This hosted feature layer view is referencing a hosted feature layer of OSM point (node) data in ArcGIS Online that is updated with minutely diffs from the OSM planet file. This feature layer view includes amenity features defined as a query against the hosted feature layer (i.e. amenity is not blank). Note: due to the size of data and volume of edits, the OSM layers for Europe currently reflect edits made within the last 30 days. In OSM, amenities are useful and important facilities for visitors and residents, such as places of worship, restaurants, banks, and schools. These features are identified with an amenity tag. There are thousands of different tag values used in the OSM database. In this feature layer, unique symbols are used for several of the most popular amenity types, while lesser used types are grouped in an "other" category. Zoom in to large scales (e.g. City level or 1:80k scale) to see the amenity features display. You can click on a feature to get the name of the amenity. The name of the amenity will display by default at very large scales (e.g. Building level of 1:2k scale). Labels can be turned off in your map if you prefer. Create New LayerIf you would like to create a more focused version of this amenity layer displaying just one or two amenity types, you can do that easily! Just add the layer to a map, copy the layer in the content window, add a filter to the new layer (e.g. amenity is fire station), rename the layer as appropriate, and save layer. You can also change the layer symbols or popup if you like. Esri will publish a few such layers (e.g. Schools, Medical Facilities, and Places of Worship) that are ready to use, but not for every type of amenity. Important Note: if you do create a new layer, it should be provided under the same Terms of Use and include the same Credits as this layer. You can copy and paste the Terms of Use and Credits info below in the new Item page as needed.

Esri recommends updating your maps and apps to use the new version.Areas protected from conversion include areas that are permanently protected and managed for biodiversity such as Wilderness Areas and National Parks. In addition to protected lands, portions of areas protected from conversion includes multiple-use lands that are subject to extractive uses such as mining, logging, and off-highway vehicle use. These areas are managed to maintain a mostly undeveloped landscape including many areas managed by the Bureau of Land Management and US Forest Service. The Protected Areas Database of the United States classifies lands into four GAP Status classes. This layer displays lands managed for biodiversity conservation (GAP Status 1 and 2) and multiple-use lands (GAP Status 3).
