    Description

    The Soil and Terrain database for China primary data (version 1.0), at scale 1:1 million (SOTER_China), was compiled of enhanced soil information within the framework of the FAO's program of Land Degradation Assessment in Drylands (LADA). The primary database was compiled using the SOTER methodology. The SOTER unit delineation was based on a raster format of the soil map of China, correlated and converted to FAO’s Revised Legend (1988), in combination with a SOTER landform characterization derived from Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) 90 m digital elevation model (DEM). Reference profiles for the dominant soil of the SOTER units has been directly linked to the polygons. SOTER forms a part of the ongoing activities of ISRIC, FAO and UNEP to update the world's baseline information on natural resources.The project involved collaboration with national soil institutes from the countries in the region as well as individual experts.

    Description

    In terms of Chinese language, this study crawls the news obtained from the People's Daily website using festival names as search terms as initial data, and manually reviews and removes the news items that contain festival names but have nothing to do with the festival. The data collection time is April 22, 2022. Tibetan language aspect, this study used hainan Tibetan autonomous prefecture in qinghai province of Tibetan information technology research center development cloud hid ཡ ོ ང ས ་ འ ཛ ི ན search engine (https://www.yongzin.com) is similar to Chinese, this study took up in table 1 festival called search word search results, but considering the precision of results, This study selected the People's Daily online Tibetan edition (http://tibet.people.com.cn/), China's Tibet network (http://tb.tibet.cn/), the voice of China Tibet net (http://www.vtibet.cn/), hidden to the sun (http://ti.zangd Iyg.com/), Tibet, China news network (http://tb.chinatibetnews.com/) as a crawler to climb in the white list of web sites, namely all the Tibetan news corpora are from the website.Four Tibetan students whose native language is Tibetan and four Han students whose native language is Chinese were recruited to annotate the news data. Before the formal annotation, in order to ensure the annotation effect, this study conducted unified training for the annotators. The annotation software used was YEDDA[31], and the annotated entities included Tibetan festival ontology, Tibetan festival related events, Tibetan festival related articles and Tibetan festival related places.

    Description

    This database is comprised of 951 participants who provided self-report data online in their school classrooms. The data was collected in 2016 and 2017. The dataset is comprised of 509 males (54%) and 442 females (46%). Their ages ranged from 12 to 16 years (M = 13.69, SD = 0.72). Seven participants did not report their age. The majority were born in Australia (N = 849, 89%). The next most common countries of birth were China (N = 24, 2.5%), the UK (N = 23, 2.4%), and the USA (N = 9, 0.9%). Data were drawn from students at five Australian independent secondary schools.

    The data contains item responses for the Spence Children’s Anxiety Scale (SCAS; Spence, 1998) which is comprised of 44 items. The Social media question asked about frequency of use with the question “How often do you use social media?”. The response options ranged from constantly to once a week or less. Items measuring Fear of Missing Out were included and incorporated the following five questions based on the APS Stress and Wellbeing in Australia Survey (APS, 2015).     European actors are increasingly relying on strategic communication tools in their external relations, especially in key partner countries like Kenya. Based on a large-scale media screening and interviews with media experts, this paper examines which issues related to the EU/Europe and China have received the most media coverage in Kenya over the past decade (2013–2023). The paper finds, among other things, that European actors involved in communication efforts increasingly need to communicate about the EU’s role in global affairs and the impact of European decisions, products, and standards on African markets, without resorting to a “West versus China” framing. The research data here includes the embeddings for the articles as well as scripts to understand the topic modelling and the process.     Abstract (en): This study consists of an aggregate attributes data file and a perception-interaction data file on the Soviet Union and China in the period 1950-1967. The study was part of a project concerned with the Sino-Soviet conflict and its implications for United States' strategic planning in the 1970s. The aggregate attributes data file (Part 1) contains two subsets: (1) measures of economic, demographic, military, and diplomatic national attributes of the Soviet Union and China in the period 1950-1967, and (2) trade of and visits by leaders of the Soviet Union and China with 17 less developed nations in the period 1959-1967. The perception-interaction data file (Part 2) also consists of two subsets: (1) a perception dataset, which contains information obtained by computer content analyses of selected official statements and newspaper contents utilizing Inquirer II, and (2) an interaction dataset that measures Sino-Soviet diplomatic, communications, and trade interactions with each other in the period 1950-1967. Items in the perception subset dataset include the perceptions of the Soviet Union and China of each other and of the United States coded as strong, weak, active, passive, negative, and threatening. Each of these perceptions is presented in the original and weighted forms. China and the Soviet Union in the period 1950-1967. 2006-01-18 File CB5016.ALL.PDF was removed from any previous datasets and flagged as a study-level file, so that it will accompany all downloads.     All the data for this dataset is provided from CARMA: Data from CARMA (www.carma.org) This dataset provides information about Power Plant emissions in China. Power Plant emissions from all power plants in China were obtained by CARMA for the past (2000 Annual Report), the present (2007 data), and the future. CARMA determine data presented for the future to reflect planned plant construction, expansion, and retirement. The dataset provides the name, company, parent company, city, state, metro area, lat/lon, and plant id for each individual power plant. Only Power Plants that had a listed longitude and latitude in CARMA's database were mapped. The dataset reports for the three time periods: Intensity: Pounds of CO2 emitted per megawatt-hour of electricity produced. Energy: Annual megawatt-hours of electricity produced. Carbon: Annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The units are short or U.S. tons. Multiply by 0.907 to get metric tons. Carbon Monitoring for Action (CARMA) is a massive database containing information on the carbon emissions of over 50,000 power plants and 4,000 power companies worldwide. Power generation accounts for 40% of all carbon emissions in the United States and about one-quarter of global emissions. CARMA is the first global inventory of a major, sector of the economy.
