This dataset represents Children’s Play Areas (CPAs) in NYC Parks. Each CPA is a designated space featuring play equipment specifically designed for children and is mapped as a central point (Point geometry) within a park property. While commonly known as playgrounds, the term "playground" is avoided because some properties or subproperties labeled as "playgrounds" may include features like adult fitness equipment or handball and basketball courts and may not contain play equipment for children. Explore the Data Dictionary Note: The schema and methodology of the dataset was updated in 2024, replacing the previous version from 2019. Play equipment is tracked via the Parks Inspection Program. Parks that are currently rated by the Parks Inspection Program and contain play equipment are considered active Children's Play Areas. Nitrapyrin is a nitrification inhibitor that is co-applied with N-fertilizer in agroecosystems. Over the course of one year (March 2016 to June 2017), 192 water samples from seven streams across Iowa and Illinois were analyzed for nitrapyrin, its degradate 6-chloropicolinic acid (6-CPA), and three widely used herbicides acetochlor, atrazine, and metolachlor. Additional environmental samples were collected and analyzed in spring 2017: 63 water samples from eight subsurface drains, and 33 soil samples from a field in Iowa that received direct application of nitrapyrin (only for nitrapyrin and herbicides). Nitrapyrin was detected in all seven streams (56% detection) with concentrations ranging from 4 to 1,200 ng/L; 6-CPA was detected in six of the seven streams (13% detection) with concentrations ranging from 2 to 13 ng/L. Nitrapyrin was detected in only two of the eight subsurface drains and in 10% of drain samples (10% detection), and with concentrations ranginged from 3 to 12 ng/L; 6-CPA was detected in six of the eight subsurface drains and in (33% of drain samples withdetection), and concentrations ranginged from 2 to 6 ng/L. Nitrapyrin was detected in 67% of the soil samples collected, and concentrations ranged from 0.9 to 42 ng/g. Generally, all three herbicides were detected more frequently and at higher concentrations than nitrapyrin in the streams, subsurface drains, and soils. There are 3 csv datasets related to this data release. Please find in each of the child items the data and metadata.

Strong economic rebound, technological acceleration and the continued necessity for quality accounting services bolstered payroll and bookkeepers demand, particularly among small businesses and self-employed individuals. Established companies such as Intuit Inc. continue to invest more in their automated servicing technology, which offers improved efficiency in payroll processes and allows servicers to reduce operational expenses amid heightened inflation. Strong corporate sentiment and overall business growth expanded the quantity of clients available within the open market, creating more opportunities for localized bookkeepers in concentrated areas like New York City. These trends caused overall revenue to grow at a CAGR of 4.6% to an estimated $82.1 billion over the past five years, including an estimated 2.9% boost in 2025 alone. Profit has also grown strongly, with heightened business interest generating more lucrative opportunities within the financial and health services sectors. The expansion of cloud-based solutions continues to become increasingly popular, making payroll services more accessible and flexible. At the same time, the rise of smaller, tech-savvy players has increased competition and reduced the market share concentration of established providers. With an evolving regulatory landscape and greater threats of data theft, many payroll servicers continue to invest in stronger cybersecurity measures aimed at meeting the latest compliance standards and safeguarding clients’ data. Established companies are also expanding their market offering and strengthening existing service lines, as evident with Paychex’s acquisition of Paycor in January 2025. Moving forward, servicers are poised for further technological disruption in the next five years that will impact their performance. Advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning are likely to further streamline payroll processes and reduce the need for manual intervention. With the growing trend toward self-employment and remote work, companies will need to offer more flexible and mobile-friendly solutions to meet the changing needs of their clients. Nonetheless, the high costs associated with adoption of automated technology and the constant need for professional payroll service employees to handle more complex bookkeeping tasks will curtail large-scale growth. Revenue is expected to grow at a CAGR of 2.9% to an estimated $94.8 billion over the next five years.
The EcoTrends project was established in 2004 by Dr. Debra Peters (Jornada Basin LTER, USDA-ARS Jornada Experimental Range) and Dr. Ariel Lugo (Luquillo LTER, USDA-FS Luquillo Experimental Forest) to support the collection and analysis of long-term ecological datasets. The project is a large synthesis effort focused on improving the accessibility and use of long-term data. At present, there are ~50 state and federally funded research sites that are participating and contributing to the EcoTrends project, including all 26 Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) sites and sites funded by the USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS), USDA Forest Service, US Department of Energy, US Geological Survey (USGS) and numerous universities. Data from the EcoTrends project are available through an exploratory web portal (http://www.ecotrends.info). This web portal enables the continuation of data compilation and accessibility by users through an interactive web application. Ongoing data compilation is updated through both manual and automatic processing as part of the LTER Provenance Aware Synthesis Tracking Architecture (PASTA). The web portal is a collaboration between the Jornada LTER and the LTER Network Office. The following dataset from Florida Coastal Everglades (FCE) contains animal biomass of Poecilia latipinna measurements in gramsPerSquareMeter units and were aggregated to a yearly timescale.
