Thechallenges of homosexuality is not a new thing to any society, Africân or otherwise, Homosexualityactivity in various degree has been a long companion of civilization; with varying degrees of tolerance and accommodation. But nowhere in the general history of Africa. except in few places recently, has a hmnosexuality lifestyle been advocated or encouraged. This later develapment has put African-Christian faith to a cerious dilemma and as well challenged strongly African moral positian. This research adopted phenomenological method and secondary sources of data collection to address the issues raised in this work. It was discovered that homosexuality is anti-Christian, anti-African and as well anti-cultural. It is a negation of God's command for man to replenish the and inimical to man's continual existence on earth. The work recommended that since homosexuality is not part of the original plan of God for humanity and consequently retrogressive, it should be discouraged. It advocated that homosexuals should not be discriminated against but be psychologically, sexually and spiritually re-orientated and accomodated.

This dataset is based on the 1925 World Missionary Atlas (WMA) by Harlan P. Beach and Charles H. Fahs, published by the Institute for Social and Religious Research (New York). The dataset features aggregated, cross-validated information from maps and indexes contained in the WMA. Overall, it provides information on 1,895 mission stations that were established before 1925. For the purpose of geo--referencing, the WMA maps were digitized and where necessary complemented with additional information on historical place names.

Literature and art have long depicted God as a stern and elderly white man, but do people actually see Him this way? We use reverse correlation to understand how a representative sample of American Christians visualize the face of God, which we argue is indicative of how believers think about God’s mind. In contrast to historical depictions, Americans generally see God as young, Caucasian, and loving, but perceptions vary by believers’ political ideology and physical appearance. Liberals see God as relatively more feminine, more African American, and more loving than conservatives, who see God as older, more intelligent, and more powerful. All participants see God as similar to themselves on attractiveness, age, and, to a lesser extent, race. These differences are consistent with past research showing that people’s views of God are shaped by their group-based motivations and cognitive biases. Our results also speak to the broad scope of religious differences: even people of the same nationality and the same faith appear to think differently about God’s appearance.

Across numerous African societies, a prevalent resistance to LGBTQ rights is evident. While prominent strides have been made in various parts of the world on LGBTQ rights, the African context has witnessed limited progress in this regard. Public opinion polls indicate that influential figures have succeeded in altering public sentiment towards LGBTQ rights in Western countries, yet such progress remains elusive in the African context. Mechanisms effective in shifting public attitudes toward embracing LGBTQ rights, especially in the African context, remain largely unexplored. In this paper, we consider whether endorsement messages conveyed by trusted authorities possess the potential to foster a shift in attitudes towards embracing LGBTQ rights among a nationally representative sample of respondents in Ghana. Through a factorial experiment, we find that there are varying impacts of messaging from distinct trusted authorities in shaping attitudes toward embracing LGBTQ rights. Notably, pro- LGBTQ messaging from traditional and co-partisan leaders yields modest effects, while messaging from religious leaders exhibits no discernible impact. These findings hold significance for determining strategic focal points in potential endeavors to advance LGBTQ rights within the African context.
