The right to fair wages and working conditions extends to trades workers employed on construction sites under federal contracts, and is guaranteed under the Fair Wages and Hours of Labour Act and Regulations. Whenever contractors bid on federal construction projects, they must agree to meet the conditions defined in this Act and pay the wages established by the Labour Program in support of the Act and its regulations. This dataset includes six tables which were custom ordered from Statistics Canada. All tables include commuting characteristics (mode of commuting, duration/distance), labour characteristics (employment income groups in 2015, Industry by the North American Industry Classification System 2012), and visible minority groups. There are three reasons for this revision: The revision enables the use of improved population benchmarks in the LFS estimation process. These improved benchmarks provide better information on the number of non-permanent residents. There are changes to the data for the public and private sectors from 1987 to 1999. The dataset contains prevention and inspection intervention files created from January 1 to December 31. The Commission on Standards, Equity, Health and Safety at Work (CNESST) focuses on the management of prevention by employers and workers and on the establishment or construction site of a prevention program or action plan. To carry out its mission, the CNESST carries out interventions in workplaces. The assignment of files to the inspector takes into account the organization's guidelines and prevention-inspection priorities. During their intervention, the inspector identifies the dangers and risks related to their mandate. After each intervention, the inspector records the results of the intervention in a report.
