Annual State-reported licensed driver data from Highway Statistics for the 50 States and DC from Highway Statistics table DL-22.
In 2021, about 17.44 million U.S. licensed drivers were aged between 20 and 24 years, a dip compared to 2013 licensed driver figures. At almost 20.9 million people, drivers aged between 30 and 34 represented the largest group of licensed drivers.
This study focuses on the drinking and driving habits of Americans. The questionnaire contained 51 questions. Respondents were interviewed over the telephone and asked about their frequency of consumption of alcoholic beverages, where they most often drank, their mode of transportation to and from this location, their driving and drinking experiences, and their age, sex, educational attainment, and socioeconomic status.

About 228,200 Americans had a license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States in 2020. That year, an estimated 36,680 people died on U.S. roads. Traffic-related fatalities per 100,000 licensed drivers stood at 17.01 in 2020.
Road safety rankings
The United States has among the highest rates of road fatalities per population worldwide. Possible contributing factors to deaths on the road can include speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and driving while fatigued. Traffic fatalities caused by speeding in the United States have declined since 2008, with less than 10,000 deaths recorded annually over recent years.
Automation for the nation
94 percent of severe automobile crashes are due to human error — but driving safety is taken much more seriously today than in the past, with roughly 90 percent of U.S. drivers wearing their seatbelts while driving in 2020. Over recent years, car manufacturers and developers have striven to reduce car crashes even further with partially and fully automated safety features such as forward collision warnings, lane departure warnings, rearview video systems, and automatic emergency braking. Self-driving vehicles are also set to take to the roads in the future, with car brands such as Toyota, Ford, and GM registering over 350 autonomous driving patents respectively in the United States.

Driving licences issued in Northern Ireland are the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Driver & Vehicle Agency and are outside the scope of this release.
DVLA’s drivers database changes constantly as the Agency receives driving licence applications and other information that updates the records of individual drivers. Therefore, it is only possible only to provide a snapshot of the state of the record at a particular time.

There have been four Transportation Network Providers (often called rideshare companies 🚗) licensed to operate in Chicago. These rideshare companies are required to routinely report vehicles, drivers, and trips information to the City of Chicago, which are published to the Chicago Data Portal. The registered vehicles dataset is a great source to hone your data analytics skills!
The reporting is done on a monthly basis, as indicated in the REPORTED_YEAR
and REPORTED_MONTH
columns. For each registered vehicle at a given month, the following information is provided:
REPORTD_YEAR
: The year in which the vehicle was reportedREPORTED_MONTH
: The month in which the vehicle was reportedSTATE

: The make of the vehicleMODEL
: The model of the vehicleCOLOR
: The color of the vehicleMODEL_YEAR
The model year of the vehicleNUMBER_OF_TRIPS
: Number of trips provided in this month. Due to the complexities of matching, errors are possible in both directions. Values over 999 are converted to null as suspected error values that interfere with easy data visualizationMULTIPLE_TNPS

Matching is imperfect so some vehicle records that should have been combined may be separate. The original dataset has been transformed and filtered to be more usable. The global Tableau Server License market size was valued at approximately USD 1.5 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach around USD 3.5 billion by 2032, expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10% during the forecast period. The increasing demand for data visualization and business intelligence tools across multiple sectors, including BFSI, healthcare, and retail, is a primary driving force behind this growth. Furthermore, organizations are increasingly leveraging Tableau Server to enhance their decision-making processes, improve operational efficiency, and gain a competitive advantage, thereby fueling market expansion.
One of the significant growth drivers for the Tableau Server License market is the growing emphasis on data-driven decision-making in organizations worldwide. As businesses increasingly rely on big data analytics to derive actionable insights, the demand for robust data visualization tools like Tableau Server is on the rise. Tableau Server offers interactive and easy-to-understand data presentations, enabling organizations to make informed decisions quickly. This capability is particularly crucial in today's dynamic business environment, where companies must adapt swiftly to changing market conditions and consumer preferences. As a result, the adoption of Tableau Server licenses is expected to continue growing steadily over the forecast period.
Another factor contributing to the market's growth is the increasing adoption of cloud-based solutions. With the shift towards digital transformation, many enterprises are migrating their operations to cloud platforms to achieve scalability, agility, and cost-effectiveness. Tableau Server's cloud deployment options offer businesses flexible and scalable solutions, allowing users to access data and analytics from anywhere and at any time. This cloud-centric approach is particularly appealing to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that may lack the infrastructure to host on-premises solutions. Consequently, the cloud deployment mode is anticipated to witness significant growth, driving the overall market for Tableau Server licenses.
The integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) with Tableau Server is also propelling market growth. These technologies enhance the capabilities of Tableau Server by automating data analysis processes, providing predictive insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making. AI-powered features, such as natural language processing, allow users to interact with data more intuitively, broadening the user base beyond traditional data analysts. This technological advancement is attracting a wide range of industries, further boosting the demand for Tableau Server licenses in the global market.
From a regional perspective, North America holds a dominant position in the Tableau Server License market, attributed to the widespread adoption of data analytics tools and advanced IT infrastructure. Countries like the United States and Canada are at the forefront of technological innovation, driving the demand for Tableau Server solutions. Meanwhile, the Asia Pacific region is expected to experience the highest growth rate over the forecast period. The increasing focus on digital transformation, particularly in emerging economies such as India and China, coupled with government initiatives promoting the use of advanced analytics tools, is likely to fuel the market's expansion in this region.
The Tableau Server License market is segmented by license type into Creator, Explorer, and Viewer, each catering to different user needs and organizational requirements. The Creator license offers comprehensive data analytics capabilities, including data preparation, analysis, and visualization, making it ideal for data scientists and analysts. This segment is expected to hold a significant market share due to the increasing demand for professionals who can leverage data to drive business insights. As organizations increasingly recognize the value of data-driven insights, the demand for Creator licenses is anticipated to rise steadily. This trend is especially prevalent in industries such as BFSI and healthcare, where complex data analysis is crucial.
On the other hand, the Explorer license is designed for users who need self-service analytics without the full data preparation capabilities of the Creator license. This license type is particularly suitable for business users who require the ability to explore data and generate reports without relying heavily o
