    Description

    Geoscape G-NAF is the geocoded address database for Australian businesses and governments. It’s the trusted source of geocoded address data for Australia with over 50 million contributed addresses distilled into 15.4 million G-NAF addresses. It is built and maintained by Geoscape Australia using independently examined and validated government data.

    From 22 August 2022, Geoscape Australia is making G-NAF available in an additional simplified table format. G-NAF Core makes accessing geocoded addresses easier by utilising less technical effort.

    G-NAF Core will be updated on a quarterly basis along with G-NAF.

    Further information about contributors to G-NAF is available here.

    With more than 15 million Australian physical address record, G-NAF is one of the most ubiquitous and powerful spatial datasets. The records include geocodes, which are latitude and longitude map coordinates. G-NAF does not contain personal information or details relating to individuals.

    Updated versions of G-NAF are published on a quarterly basis. Previous versions are available here

    Users have the option to download datasets with feature coordinates referencing either GDA94 or GDA2020 datums.

    Changes in the August 2025 release

    • Nationally, the August 2025 update of G-NAF shows an overall increase of 40,716 addresses (0.30%). The total number of addresses in G-NAF now stands at 15,794,643 of which 14,950,491 or 94.66% are principal.

    • In the ACT, there have been minor updates to the address parsing of flat-numbered addresses aimed at: improving the address representation of flat-numbered addresses; improving address coverage; and improving address alignment between contributors. This change affects approximately 4,000 addresses.

    • A small number of additional address sites have implemented the use of the BUILDING_NAME attribute as part of the merge criteria to improve address coverage for flat-numbered addresses in NSW and QLD. These changes have resulted in the creation of approximately 400 addresses in NSW and 120 in QLD.

    • A focus has been applied to Tasmanian street-locality addresses to reduce the number of these addresses. For the August 2025 release, there is a reduction of some 900 street-locality addresses in Tasmania.

    • Geoscape has moved product descriptions, guides and reports online to https://docs.geoscape.com.au.

    Further information on G-NAF, including FAQs on the data, is available here or through Geoscape Australia’s network of partners. They provide a range of commercial products based on G-NAF, including software solutions, consultancy and support.

    Use of the G-NAF downloaded from data.gov.au is subject to the End User Licence Agreement (EULA)

    The EULA terms are based on the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). However, an important restriction relating to the use of the open G-NAF for the sending of mail has been added.

    The open G-NAF data must not be used for the generation of an address or the compilation of an address for the sending of mail unless the user has verified that each address to be used for the sending of mail is capable of receiving mail by reference to a secondary source of information. Further information on this use restriction is available here.

    End users must only use the data in ways that are consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles issued under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

    Max Foundation

    Max Foundation is a Netherlands-based NGO that works towards a healthy start for every child in the most effective and long-lasting way. Over the past 15 years, our teams in Bangladesh and Ethiopia have reached almost 3 million people, supporting communities in reducing stunting and undernutrition by gaining better access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene, as well as healthy diets and care for mother and child.

    Maximising our impact and cost efficiency are at the core of our work, which makes quantifying and analysing our programmes crucial. We therefore collect a lot of information on the communities we work with; to understand them better and see where and how we can improve as an organisation.
    This data set is one of many we are making publicly available because we believe that data in the development sector should be open: not as a goal in itself, but as a way to help the sector be more effective and create more impact.

    Content

    These data were collected between Q2 and Q3 in 2019 (with a few observations earlier and later) in the areas in Bangladesh where Max Foundation is active. The data were collected on a representative sample of the households in the area which includes at least one child between the age of 2 and 5. The data provide a very detailed picture of the nutritional status of households as well as their knowledge, attitudes and practices in nutrition and especially child nutrition. As this information was collected by a third partner, some information information is missing. We cleaned the data to the best of our ability, and feel very confident on the district, upazila and union information. Village numbers are often missing and ward numbers were inferred for much of the data, and may therefore not always be accurate. We regret this lapse in quality.

    All datasets we publish can be linked together at the village-level, and we encourage everyone to not look at these data in isolation, but link it to our other datasets to create richer analyses.

    Privacy and links to our other data

    All of Max Foundation's data are collected and processed according to GDPR standards and explicit informed consent is given by all respondents. They are also clearly informed that choosing not to participate in data collection will in no way affect their eligibility for, or receiving of, products or services from Max Foundation.

    Furthermore, we enforce strong privacy protections on our open data to minimise the risk of these data being used to cause harm or re-identify individuals. Concretely this means: - Administrative units up to the Union can be directly identified with the BD_ loc_xx data (which can be found in our Max Foundation Bangladesh 2018 WASH Census dataset). Villages are masked by random numbers. However, to ensure it is still possible to compare our data sets, these random numbers are consistent across all datasets. This means that village '1' in this data is the same as village '1' in all of our other Bangladesh datasets, unless stated otherwise; - Sensitive variables are omitted, censored or bucketed.

    The column descriptions specify any transformations done to the data.

    The QUIC (Quick UDP Internet Connection) protocol has the potential to replace TLS over TCP, which is the standard choice for reliable and secure Internet communication. Due to its design that makes the inspection of QUIC handshakes challenging and its usage in HTTP/3, there is an increasing demand for research in QUIC traffic analysis. This dataset contains one month of QUIC traffic collected in an ISP backbone network, which connects 500 large institutions and serves around half a million people. The data are delivered as enriched flows that can be useful for various network monitoring tasks. The provided server names and packet-level information allow research in the encrypted traffic classification area. Moreover, included QUIC versions and user agents (smartphone, web browser, and operating system identifiers) provide information for large-scale QUIC deployment studies.

    Data capture The data was captured in the flow monitoring infrastructure of the CESNET2 network. The capturing was done for four weeks between 31.10.2022 and 27.11.2022. The following table provides per-week flow count, capture period, and uncompressed size:

    Data description The dataset consists of network flows describing encrypted QUIC communications. Flows were created using ipfixprobe flow exporter and are extended with packet metadata sequences, packet histograms, and with fields extracted from the QUIC Initial Packet, which is the first packet of the QUIC connection handshake. The extracted handshake fields are the Server Name Indication (SNI) domain, the used version of the QUIC protocol, and the user agent string that is available in a subset of QUIC communications.

    Packet Sequences Flows in the dataset are extended with sequences of packet sizes, directions, and inter-packet times. For the packet sizes, we consider payload size after transport headers (UDP headers for the QUIC case). Packet directions are encoded as ±1, +1 meaning a packet sent from client to server, and -1 a packet from server to client. Inter-packet times depend on the location of communicating hosts, their distance, and on the network conditions on the path. However, it is still possible to extract relevant information that correlates with user interactions and, for example, with the time required for an API/server/database to process the received data and generate the response to be sent in the next packet. Packet metadata sequences have a length of 30, which is the default setting of the used flow exporter. We also derive three fields from each packet sequence: its length, time duration, and the number of roundtrips. The roundtrips are counted as the number of changes in the communication direction (from packet directions data); in other words, each client request and server response pair counts as one roundtrip.

    Flow statistics Flows also include standard flow statistics, which represent aggregated information about the entire bidirectional flow. The fields are: the number of transmitted bytes and packets in both directions, the duration of flow, and packet histograms. Packet histograms include binned counts of packet sizes and inter-packet times of the entire flow in both directions (more information in the PHISTS plugin documentation There are eight bins with a logarithmic scale; the intervals are 0-15, 16-31, 32-63, 64-127, 128-255, 256-511, 512-1024, >1024 [ms or B]. The units are milliseconds for inter-packet times and bytes for packet sizes. Moreover, each flow has its end reason - either it was idle, reached the active timeout, or ended due to other reasons. This corresponds with the official IANA IPFIX-specified values. The FLOW_ENDREASON_OTHER field represents the forced end and lack of resources reasons. The end of flow detected reason is not considered because it is not relevant for UDP connections.

    Dataset structure The dataset flows are delivered in compressed CSV files. CSV files contain one flow per row; data columns are summarized in the provided table. For each flow data file, there is a JSON file with the number of saved and seen (before sampling) flows per service and total counts of all received (observed on the CESNET2 network), service (belonging to one of the dataset's services), and saved (provided in the dataset) flows. There is also the stats-week.json file aggregating flow counts of a whole week and the stats-dataset.json file aggregating flow counts for the entire dataset. Flow counts before sampling can be used to compute sampling ratios of individual services and to resample the dataset back to the original service distribution. Moreover, various dataset statistics, such as feature distributions and value counts of QUIC versions and user agents, are provided in the dataset-statistics folder. Measurement technique
The data presented in this dataset is derived from the latest U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. To portray the number of individuals for both the genders (Male and Female), within each income bracket we conducted an initial analysis and categorization of the American Community Survey data. Households are categorized, and median incomes are reported based on the self-identified gender of the head of the household. About this dataset

Context

The dataset presents the detailed breakdown of the count of individuals within distinct income brackets, categorizing them by gender (men and women) and employment type - full-time (FT) and part-time (PT), offering valuable insights into the diverse income landscapes within Arkansas. The dataset can be utilized to gain insights into gender-based income distribution within the Arkansas population, aiding in data analysis and decision-making..

Key observations

  • Employment patterns: Within Arkansas, among individuals aged 15 years and older with income, there were 1.05 million men and 1.05 million women in the workforce. Among them, 556.08 thousand men were engaged in full-time, year-round employment, while 446.59 thousand women were in full-time, year-round roles.
  • Annual income under $24,999: Of the male population working full-time, 9.84% fell within the income range of under $24,999, while 14.81% of the female population working full-time was represented in the same income bracket.
  • Annual income above $100,000: 19.32% of men in full-time roles earned incomes exceeding $100,000, while 9.65% of women in full-time positions earned within this income bracket.

Employment type classifications include:

  • Full-time, year-round: A full-time, year-round worker is a person who worked full time (35 or more hours per week) and 50 or more weeks during the previous calendar year.
  • Part-time: A part-time worker is a person who worked less than 35 hours per week during the previous calendar year.
