This list includes detail information about every Petition associated to a water rights record and stored in the State Water Resources Control Board's "Electronic Water Rights Information Management System" (EWRIMS) database. The State Water Board's Division of Water Rights administers California's water rights system. Parties can petition to modify their existing post-1914 water right permits or licenses as their projects change, or if they wish to transfer water to another party. These approvals can be temporary or can be permanent. Parties with permits may also request additional time to develop their project. There are also types of petitions that can be used by other types of water right holders. For example, parties holding pre-1914 or riparian claims can submit instream flow dedications to allow some of their water to remain instream and benefit instream uses. The Division of Water Rights also processes petitions submitted by wastewater treatment plant operators who wish to decrease their discharges to a stream. Each row correspond with a unique Petition ID and its associated data. The list include basic summary information about the Water Right record, such as the type and status, the location associated to the Petition, and summary data associated with the electronic Water Right record. This file is in flat file format and may not include all information associated to a water right such all uses and seasons or the amounts reported used for every month. That information may be available in the associated flat files for each category.

The names of holders of victuallers’ licenses (publicans) were printed in the Queensland Government Gazette from 1860-1914 on an annual basis. This index currently covers the period from July 1900 to July 1914. Transfer lists were printed as needed throughout the calendar year and entries included here until 1903, and occasionally to 1914. This index lists information that may be useful for family history or general history research, including names, dates, districts and hotel names.
