    Description

Here are a few use cases for this project:

    1. Educational Tools: Develop interactive and engaging learning materials for children, helping them associate images of animals, objects, and numbers with their respective names, promoting early cognitive development.

    2. Gaming and Augmented Reality: Create a scavenger hunt or mobile-based game that requires players to locate and identify the various roblox classes in their real-world surroundings or within a virtual environment.

    3. Image Organization: Automatically categorize and organize a user's photo library based on the presence of different roblox classes in the images, making it easier for users to find and manage their collections.

    4. Social Media Enhancements: Develop a social media platform feature that uses the computer vision model to automatically generate relevant tags or captions, making it easier for users to discover and share images related to various roblox classes.

    5. Accessibility and Assistance: Integrate the computer vision model into assistive technologies to help visually impaired individuals identify the roblox classes within their surroundings, enabling them to better understand and navigate their environment.

    Description

    Context

This dataset was created as an exploration of the Roblox APIs and for image use in a GAN to create connective avatar headshots and avatars for Roblox. This is also my first time creating a dataset for public use, mistakes were made and will be remedied in future publications!

    Content

This dataset includes the information of roughly 1000 unique Roblox accounts including their id, username, display_name, membership status, avatar, and avatar thumbnails. Much of the other data collected during this project has been removed due to inconsistency. Endpoints for getting this information are still available via the GitHub repository.

    Acknowledgements

Shoutout to the Python Requests and Pandas team, and also whoever maintains the Roblox web APIs. This project would not have been possible without them.

    Inspiration

This dataset was conceived to eventually create a GAN for generation of Roblox avatars. I thought it would be nice to bring the API requests full circle by creating my own API for random generation of images to be used within a Roblox game.

    Description

As of December 2024, gaming company Roblox Corporation reported that 20 percent of Roblox games users worldwide were aged from nine to 12 years. Additionally, 20 percent of Roblox games users were under the age of nine. Only 19 percent of Roblox audiences were aged 25 years and older. Roblox gamer demographics With more than four in ten Roblox gamers being 12 years old or younger, Roblox has managed to target a specific user demographic. In contrast, three-quarters of adult U.S. gamers aged 18 to 34 did not play Roblox games, and this share of non-usage only increased with age. Additionally, over half of Roblox users were male, and eight in ten of Roblox users signed up for the platform via mobile. Roblox engagement across the entire family In the fourth quarter of 2024, gamers aged 13 years and older generated 12 billion hours worth of engagement with Roblox games, compared to 6.6 billion hours by younger players. Among children in the United States, 21 percent of Roblox users spent more than ten hours per week on the gaming platform. Roblox games are also utilized as a family experience - among U.S. gamers who play Roblox and have kids who play Roblox, an October 2022 survey found that 27 percent of respondents spent six to ten hours per week playing with or watching their child play Roblox game experiences.

    Based on their wikipedia page

Roblox (/หˆroสŠblษ’ks/) is an online game platform and game creation system developed by Roblox Corporation that allows users to program games and play games created by other users. Created by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel in 2004 and released in 2006, the platform hosts user-created games of multiple genres coded in the programming language Lua. For most of Roblox's history, it was relatively small, both as a platform and as a company. Roblox began to grow rapidly in the second half of the 2010s, and this growth has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

These reviews were extracted from its Google Store page.

    Usage

This dataset should paint a good picture on what is the public's perception of the app over the years. Using this dataset, we can do the following

    1. Extract sentiments and trends
    2. Identify which version of the app had the most positive feedback, the worst.
    3. Use topic modeling to identify the pain points of the application.

    Description

Indonesian Chat Dataset, including around 10,702 meticulously edited chats among users of Roblox and Minecraft. Certain chats use conventional terminology, while others utilize colloquial expressions. Slang phrases emerged because younger gamers often incorporate them into their regular conversations. The author personally categorizes the chats under four classifications: neutral, violent, racist, and harassing.

Classification details: Neutral: no violent sentences, casual chat without any means to harm someone Violence: swearing sentences, threats, incitement to harm others, or associating people with some animal or creature Racist: discriminate against or demean people based on race, religion, ethnicity, or nationality, including slurs, hate speech, or promoting racial superiority Harassment: porn, sexual abuse words, body shaming, derogation

An example of the dataset's content and the preprocessing methodology is the sentence: โ€œPada bisa diem ga sih, 4nj1n9 semua,โ€ which translates to โ€œCan you shut up, all of you are dogs,โ€ where numbers substitute certain letters in the word 'dog,' categorized as 'violence.' The preprocessing procedure involves converting the phrase to lowercase, normalizing it by eliminating punctuation, and substituting some numerals with their nearest alphabetic equivalents, for as replacing the numeral 4 with 'a' and 1 with 'i'. The preprocessed sentence is: "pada bisa diem ga sih anjing semua."

    Description

Child-friendly online games retain significant potential for violence due to the user-generated content element inherent in the game, and parents often overlook this. Games frequently portray hyperbolic violence, including the depiction of blood and gore.

This Dataset contains of 2364 videos evenly divided between violence (1182 videos) and nonviolence (1182 videos). The content typically seen in child-friendly online games such as Roblox and Minecraft. Each video has a runtime of 4 seconds and has one specific act.

The dataset violence has four certain acts. They are: 1. Blood. Blood is seen emitted from the game avatar due to impacts from bare hands, melee weapons, or firearms. It also refers to a pool of blood or blood dispersed from gaming avatars. 2. Gore. In a game, the term "gore" refers to the dismemberment of an avatar's bodily parts caused by impactful actions. In a child-friendly online game, gore can exist with or without blood; therefore, we classify severed body parts from a game avatar as gore. 3. Fire. The usage of firearms, explosives, rocket launchers, flamethrowers, or any other incendiary weapon to inflict damage on other game avatars. This category also includes explosive or incendiary gaming avatars. 4. Melee. Melee refers to the physical confrontation or battle between game avatars, including unarmed combat or using melee weapons such as swords, clubs, axes, etc.
