Context
The dataset presents median income data over a decade or more for males and females categorized by Total, Full-Time Year-Round (FT), and Part-Time (PT) employment in Gas. It showcases annual income, providing insights into gender-specific income distributions and the disparities between full-time and part-time work. The dataset can be utilized to gain insights into gender-based pay disparity trends and explore the variations in income for male and female individuals.
Key observations: Insights from 2021
Based on our analysis ACS 2017-2021 5-Year Estimates, we present the following observations: - All workers, aged 15 years and older: In Gas, the median income for all workers aged 15 years and older, regardless of work hours, was $39,634 for males and $16,061 for females.
These income figures highlight a substantial gender-based income gap in Gas. Women, regardless of work hours, earn 41 cents for each dollar earned by men. This significant gender pay gap, approximately 59%, underscores concerning gender-based income inequality in the city of Gas.
- Full-time workers, aged 15 years and older: In Gas, among full-time, year-round workers aged 15 years and older, males earned a median income of $52,115, while females earned $29,050, leading to a 44% gender pay gap among full-time workers. This illustrates that women earn 56 cents for each dollar earned by men in full-time roles. This level of income gap emphasizes the urgency to address and rectify this ongoing disparity, where women, despite working full-time, face a more significant wage discrepancy compared to men in the same employment roles.Remarkably, across all roles, including non-full-time employment, women displayed a similar gender pay gap percentage. This indicates a consistent gender pay gap scenario across various employment types in Gas, showcasing a consistent income pattern irrespective of employment status.

This table shows the average prices paid for natural gas and electricity. The total prices represent the sum of energy supply prices and network prices.
The total price is the price paid by an end-user, for instance a household or an industrial company consuming energy in their production process. Natural gas used for non-energy purposes or for electricity generation is excluded from the data.
The price cap set by the Dutch government for 2023 has now been incorporated into the prices.
Data available from: 1st semester of 2009
Status of the figures: The figures in this table are provisional for the two most recent semesters, and the annual figures follow the status of the second semester of the relevant reporting year. The remaining figures are final.
