The Bureau of the Census has released Census 2000 Summary File 1 (SF1) 100-Percent data. The file includes the following population items: sex, age, race, Hispanic or Latino origin, household relationship, and household and family characteristics. Housing items include occupancy status and tenure (whether the unit is owner or renter occupied). SF1 does not include information on incomes, poverty status, overcrowded housing or age of housing. These topics will be covered in Summary File 3. Data are available for states, counties, county subdivisions, places, census tracts, block groups, and, where applicable, American Indian and Alaskan Native Areas and Hawaiian Home Lands. The SF1 data are available on the Bureau's web site and may be retrieved from American FactFinder as tables, lists, or maps. Users may also download a set of compressed ASCII files for each state via the Bureau's FTP server. There are over 8000 data items available for each geographic area. The full listing of these data items is available here as a downloadable compressed data base file named TABLES.ZIP. The uncompressed is in FoxPro data base file (dbf) format and may be imported to ACCESS, EXCEL, and other software formats. While all of this information is useful, the Office of Community Planning and Development has downloaded selected information for all states and areas and is making this information available on the CPD web pages. The tables and data items selected are those items used in the CDBG and HOME allocation formulas plus topics most pertinent to the Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy (CHAS), the Consolidated Plan, and similar overall economic and community development plans. The information is contained in five compressed (zipped) dbf tables for each state. When uncompressed the tables are ready for use with FoxPro and they can be imported into ACCESS, EXCEL, and other spreadsheet, GIS and database software. The data are at the block group summary level. The first two characters of the file name are the state abbreviation. The next two letters are BG for block group. Each record is labeled with the code and name of the city and county in which it is located so that the data can be summarized to higher-level geography. The last part of the file name describes the contents . The GEO file contains standard Census Bureau geographic identifiers for each block group, such as the metropolitan area code and congressional district code. The only data included in this table is total population and total housing units. POP1 and POP2 contain selected population variables and selected housing items are in the HU file. The MA05 table data is only for use by State CDBG grantees for the reporting of the racial composition of beneficiaries of Area Benefit activities. The complete package for a state consists of the dictionary file named TABLES, and the five data files for the state. The logical record number (LOGRECNO) links the records across tables.

This metadata report documents tabular data sets consisting of items from the Census of Agriculture. These data are a subset of items from county-level data (including state totals) for the conterminous United States covering the census reporting years (every five years, with adjustments for 1978 and 1982) beginning with the 1950 Census of Agriculture and ending with the 2012 Census of Agriculture. Historical (1950-1997) data were extracted from digital files obtained through the Intra-university Consortium on Political and Social Research (ICPSR). More current (1997-2012) data were extracted from the National Agriculture Statistical Service (NASS) Census Query Tool for the census years of 1997, 2002, 2007, and 2012. Most census reports contain item values from the prior census for comparison. At times these values are updated or reweighted by the reporting agency; the Census Bureau prior to 1997 or NASS from 1997 on. Where available, the updated or reweighted data were used; otherwise, the original reported values were used. Changes in census item definitions and reporting as well as changes to county areas and names over the time span required a degree of manipulation on the data and county codes to make the data as comparable as possible over time. Not all of the census items are present for the entire 1950-2012 time span as certain items have been added since 1950 and when possible the items were derived from other items by subtracting or combining sub items. Specific changes and calculations are documented in the processing steps sections of this report. Other missing data occurs at the state and (or) county level due to census non-disclosure rules where small numbers of farms reporting an item have acres and (or) production values withheld to prevent identification of individual farms. In general, caution should be exercised when comparing current (2012) data with values reported in earlier censuses. While the 1974-2012 data are comparable, data prior to 1974 will have inflated farm counts and slightly inflated production amounts due to the differences in collection methods, primarily, the definition of a farm. Further discussion on comparability can be found the comparability section of the Supplemental Information element of this metadata report. Excluded from the tabular data are the District of Columbia, Menominee County, Wisconsin, and the independent cities of Virginia with the exception of the three county-equivalent cities of Chesapeake City, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. Data for independent cities of Virginia prior to 1959 have been included with their surrounding or adjacent county. Please refer to the Supplemental Information element for information on terminology, the Census of Agriculture, the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), table and variable structure, data comparability, all farms and economic class 1-5 farms, item calculations, increase of farms from 1974 to 1978, missing data and exclusion explanations, 1978 crop irregularities, pastureland irregularities, county alignment, definitions, and references. In addition to the metadata is an excel workbook (VariableKey.xlsx) with spreadsheets containing key spreadsheets for items and variables by category and a spreadsheet noting the presence or absence of entire variable data by year. Note: this dataset was updated on 2016-02-10 to populate omitted irrigation values for Miami-Dade County, Florida in 1997.

This dataset includes data from the 2012 and 2017 USDA Census of Agriculture for American Indian Reservations combined into a single flatfile spreadsheet. The 2012 data was obtained through a special tabulation request from the USDA NASS and the 2017 data was tabulated by hand and double-checked for errors. The 2012 Census included data for only 76 reservations and the 2017 census includes data for only 75. The Census for American Indian Reservations includes all farms and ranches within the boundaries of the Reservation but does not not distinguish between farmers and ranchers operating on Trust land with those operating in fee or deeded lands within Reservation boundaries. Furthermore, the published Census reports only quantified each variable for “Native” and “Reservation Total” and failed to report statistics for “Non-native” which conceals the extreme disparity that exists on Native American Reservations. While we have submitted a special tabulation request to the USDA NASS for the data on non-native operators, in the mean time, we have included a provisional calculation for “Non-native” producers, making it possible to analyze the racial disparity in agriculture on Native Lands. Additionally, the way the data is presented by the USDA it makes it difficult to aggregate the data for one or all reservations (e.g. the big picture). This data and dashboard, while only representing a fraction of tribal lands, represents the most complete source of data for agriculture on native lands. Additionally, we have added a GEOID column so each reservation's data can be joined with US Census Tiger spatial boundary for American Indian Areas.

This dataset has been clipped to the Broward County extent from the Census dataset available through the United States Department of Treasury Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund.

The authority to implement IRC 1400Z-1 and 1400Z-2 has been delegated to the IRS. The CDFI Fund is supporting the IRS with the Opportunity Zone nomination and designation process under IRC 1400Z-1 only. In addition to an initial set of proposed regulations and guidance on how the Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) tax benefits under IRC 1400Z-2 (including the certification of Qualified Opportunity Funds (QOFs) and eligible investments in QOZs) will be administered, Treasury and IRS have issued a second set of proposed regulations relating to gains that may be deferred as a result of a taxpayer's investment in a QOF, special rules for an investment in a QOF held by a taxpayer for at least 10 years, and updates to portions of previously proposed regulations under section 1400Z-2 to address various issues, including: the definition of “substantially all.” You may submit comments on the proposed regulations electronically via the Federal Rulemaking Portal at www.regulations.gov (IRS REG-115420-18 or IRS REG 120186-18).Concurrent with the second set of proposed regulations, Treasury and IRS published a request for information (RFI), asking for detailed comments regarding ways to assess QOF investments including asset class, identification of Qualified Opportunity Zones and the impact and outcomes on those Qualified Opportunity Zones. List of designated Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZs): This spreadsheet was updated December 14, 2018, to include two additional census tracts in Puerto Rico that, based on 2012-2016 American Community Survey data, meet the statutory criteria for a Low-Income Community and are deemed as designated QOZs. Based on nominations of eligible census tracts by the Chief Executive Officers of each State, Treasury has completed its designation of Qualified Opportunity Zones. Each State nominated the maximum number of eligible tracts, per statute, and these designations are final. The statute and legislative history of the Opportunity Zone designations, under IRC § 1400Z, do not contemplate an opportunity for additional or revised designations after the maximum number of zones allowable have been designated in a State or Territory. Based on IRC 1400Z-1, designations are based upon the boundaries of the tract at the time of the designation in 2018, and do not change over the period of the designation, even if the boundaries of an individual census tract are redefined in future Census releases.

A random sample of households were invited to participate in this survey. In the dataset, you will find the respondent level data in each row with the questions in each column. The numbers represent a scale option from the survey, such as 1=Excellent, 2=Good, 3=Fair, 4=Poor. The question stem, response option, and scale information for each field can be found in the var "variable labels" and "value labels" sheets. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: The scientific survey data were weighted, meaning that the demographic profile of respondents was compared to the demographic profile of adults in Bloomington from US Census data. Statistical adjustments were made to bring the respondent profile into balance with the population profile. This means that some records were given more "weight" and some records were given less weight. The weights that were applied are found in the field "wt". If you do not apply these weights, you will not obtain the same results as can be found in the report delivered to the Bloomington. The easiest way to replicate these results is likely to create pivot tables, and use the sum of the "wt" field rather than a count of responses.
