Month-wise Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) refer to the number of international tourists entering a country, recorded separately for each month in a calendar year. In India, this data is compiled by the Ministry of Tourism and includes travelers who arrive for purposes such as leisure, business, medical treatment, or cultural exploration. Month-wise FTAs help identify seasonal patterns in tourist inflow—such as higher arrivals during winter months (October to March) when the climate is more favorable for travel in most parts of the country.
