    This statistic illustrates the outward stock of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ireland from 2012 to 2019. The OECD categorizes 'Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) stocks as a measure of the total level of direct investment at a given point in time, usually the end of a quarter or of a year. Description

This statistic illustrates the outward stock of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ireland from 2012 to 2019. The OECD categorizes 'Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) stocks as a measure of the total level of direct investment at a given point in time, usually the end of a quarter or of a year. The outward FDI stock is the value of the resident investors' equity in and net loans to enterprises in foreign economies. The value of FDI outward stock in Ireland increased overall during this period from around 412 billion U.S dollars in 2012 to approximately 1.09 trillion U.S dollars in 2019.
