    Description

The Harmful Algal Event Database (HAEDAT) is a component of the Harmful Algal Information system (HAIS) within the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange (IODE) of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO, and in cooperation with ICES, and PICES. The HAEDAT is a meta database containing records of harmful algal events. HAEDAT contains records from the ICES area (North Atlantic) since 1985, and from the PICES area (North Pacific) since 2000. IOC Regional networks in South America, South Pacific and Asia, and North Africa have recently started contributing. This instantiation of the HAEDAT database contains all species occurrences associated with harmful algal events, including abundance and toxicity ranges.

    Description

The ODIS "Catalogue of Sources" aims to be an online browsable and searchable catalogue of existing ocean related web-based sources/systems of data and information as well as products and services. It will also provide information on products and visualize the landscape (entities and their connections) of ocean data and information sources. It will contribute to the objectives of the Agenda 2030, and in particular the UN Decade for Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. The Catalogue is not an ocean database or metadata repository. The catalogue includes descriptive information such as the URL, title, description, language, point of contact, geographic scope, available technologies for machine-to-machine interaction, keywords, etc. and can be searched on many of these fields. The IODE network of NODCs has been collecting, managing and serving data for decades. This effort has yielded an extensive, but distributed and heterogeneous collection of data and information sources. Additionally, the low threshold for technical capabilities required to offer data and information over the Internet means that many of the hosted resources are not readily discoverable through NODCs, regional or international data and information systems ODIS will provide an online catalogue of (ideally) all online data/information sources (and, where possible, metadata on off-line sources as well). Many regional and international programmes and projects have developed online data/information services but there is currently no "one-stop shop" where users are offered an overview and/or common data/information discovery interface. There are currently 3090 sources (2172 are searchable) catalogued in the system.

This is a Darwin Core Archive version of data from the IOC World Bird List. The IOC World Bird List is an open access resource of the international community of ornithologists. Their goal is to facilitate worldwide communication in ornithology and conservation based on an up-to-date classification of world birds and a set of English names that follows explicit guidelines for spelling and construction (Gill & Wright 2006). Description

The objective of this map is to provide information about the operational status of global and regional networks of real time sea level stations as well as provide a display for quick inspection of the raw data stream from individual stations. This service initially focused on operational monitoring of sea level measuring stations in Africa and was developed from collaboration between Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) and the ODINAFRICA project of IODE. The service has since been expanded to a global station monitoring service for real time sea level measuring stations that are part of IOC programmes i.e.(i) the Global Sea Level Observing System Core Network; and(ii) the networks under the regional tsunami warning systems in the Indian Ocean (IOTWS), North East Atlantic & Mediterranean (NEAMTWS), Pacific (PTWS) and the Caribbean (CARIBE-EWS).Provision of low frequency and high frequency research quality sea level data is not the aim of this service. Such data is available from the GLOSS designated data centers at the Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL), the British Oceanographic Data Center (BODC), the University of Hawaii Sea Level Center (UHSLC) or the data originators.

    Description

The dataset contains response of 20 Physics instructors to 50 Physics items of West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) Physics Questions for 2019-2022. The responses were coded as 1 (real items), -1 (applied items) and 0 (for undecided). The data contained the sum of the responses for all the real items as 'sum real items' and 'sum applied items' for all the applied items. The data set is an excel file with four sheets for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively.

    Description

This data file provides a validated and correctly time-stamped version of the 2009-2021 sea-level records of the five following tide stations in French Polynesia: Vairao (Tahiti-Iti), Mangareva (Gambier Archipelago), Tubuai (Austral Archipelago), Makemo and Rangiroa (Tuamotu Archipelago). The time sampling is one or two minutes, depending on the tide gauge. These data can be found in other databases, including IOC database, but we found that 16.7 % of the timestamps in these databases are incorrect. In addition, outliers found in the raw data were flagged by comparison with a preliminary tide model.
