The source for this layer is a web service (named "Parcels") hosted on the county's server and is updated daily. This layer is being used on the Jackson County Open Data site. The parcel lines reflected in this layer are for tax purposes only and may not reflect actual ground conditions. They are not a substitute for a professional land survey.

Updated Weekly*This data set represents tax lots for Jackson County and includes account info (ownership, assessed and real market values, and building information). Data is updated on a weekly basis from assessor tax parcel information. Where there are several different owners on an individual parcel, multiple parcels polygons will exist since parcel to ownership is not a one to one relationship. Some other fields like year built are populated with the first record if multiple exists. For question about parcel updates or issues please contact the Assessor's Office at (541) 774-6059.

City limits and city annexations for incorporated cities within Jackson County. These data are created annually by using the assessor's tax code polygons. Any error in the city limits should be brought to the attention of the Jackson County Assessor's office for correction of the tax code polygons which are used for the creation of these data. In some cases, a city may have applied for and had an annexation approved which is not reflected in these data. Once the city pays the county to finalize the annexation, the changes should be reflected.

The All Roads Shapefile includes all features within the MTDB Super Class "Road/Path Features" distinguished where the MAF/TIGER Feature Classification Code (MTFCC) for the feature in MTDB that begins with "S". This includes all primary, secondary, local neighborhood, and rural roads, city streets, vehicular trails (4wd), ramps, service drives, alleys, parking lot roads, private roads for service vehicles (logging, oil fields, ranches, etc.), bike paths or trails, bridle/horse paths, walkways/pedestrian trails, and stairways.

Driveway centerlines and access routes to structures and site addresses to supplement the County's existing road centerlines database. Driveways and primary access routes were digitized for all building outlines in the current County GIS except those directly adjacent to and directly accessed from the nearest road centerline.

The Address Ranges Feature Shapefile (ADDRFEAT.dbf) contains the geospatial edge geometry and attributes of all unsuppressed address ranges for a county or county equivalent area. The term "address range" refers to the collection of all possible structure numbers from the first structure number to the last structure number and all numbers of a specified parity in between along an edge side relative to the direction in which the edge is coded. Single-address address ranges have been suppressed to maintain the confidentiality of the addresses they describe. Multiple coincident address range feature edge records are represented in the shapefile if more than one left or right address ranges are associated to the edge. The ADDRFEAT shapefile contains a record for each address range to street name combination. Address range associated to more than one street name are also represented by multiple coincident address range feature edge records. Note that the ADDRFEAT shapefile includes all unsuppressed address ranges compared to the All Lines Shapefile (EDGES.shp) which only includes the most inclusive address range associated with each side of a street edge. The TIGER/Line shapefile contain potential address ranges, not individual addresses. The address ranges in the TIGER/Line Files are potential ranges that include the full range of possible structure numbers even though the actual structures may not exist.

Note that the most inclusive address range associated with each side of a street edge already appears in the All Lines Shapefile (EDGES.shp). Trails is a line feature class which contains serveral different trail neworks found in Jackson County.

Represents the Bear Creek Greenway from Ashland through Central Point. The "STAGE" field can be used to display the completed vs. the planned routes. This information was based on a survey done in 2012, and the data is no longer aligned with the aerial imagery.Some of the planned routes are slated to be completed soon, while others are more long term plans which may change route prior to completion. The planned routes are shown for display purposes only, and no planning should be done based on any planned routes without first consulting your city planner, as well as Jackson County Roads and Parks. These data were last updated by County GIS staff using engineering survey data collected by OBEC engineering, and with the assistance of Jenna Stanke from Roads and Parks. Jenna will continue to either keep the data maintained and provide GIS Staff with the updates, or send any needed edits directly to GIS to make the edits.
