The Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2024. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. No line work was adjusted between county boundaries.The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. The map can be used to both download and view the contour data. To use the map, search or zoom in to an address. When zoomed in to a specific scale, the map will change from the downloadable areas layer to 2-foot interval contour lines. The LiDAR Project Dates layer can be used to identify the date when the elevation was collected in an area. Please note that data is available only for the valley floor areas at this time.The 2ft contours were created from 1-meter pixel DEM and then cleaned to remove very small elevation changes and to create a smooth contour line. This information should not be used to create topographic surveys or other applications where the precise elevation of a location is required. This data represents an effort by Shawnee County to assist local Rural Water Districts in their ascertainment of properties within their boundaries built before 1988. Data from the State appraisal system for Year Built was merged with properties located in each water district within Shawnee County. This data is provided as a courtesy to the water districts, and as such, is deemed reliable but no guarantees or warranties are made as to the accuracy of the information. Shawnee County makes no assertions as to the correctness of such information; however, and by accepting this map and/or data you absolve Shawnee County from any liability related to its use for any purpose. Denotes the polygons defining the boundaries of each of the school districts in the county. These data were verified in the fall of 2009 by providing each of the school districts with a map of their existing boundary, and fixing boundary errors where they saw them. The edited paper maps were then recieved by GIS Services, and the data was re-digitized to accurately portray the boundaries. UPDATE In the Winter of 2010, a process was developed for updating school districts based on Tax Code Polygons negating the manual upadate process previously done.
Product Intent: This map provides an overview of violent crime data reported to Jackson County COMBAT from 2018 to present.COMBAT Mission Statement: The mission and purpose of the Jackson County COMBAT Commission and the COMBAT Administration is to ensure a strong, safe community for its residents free from the dangers of illegal drugs and violent crime through the use of a research based, targeted strategy and systematic and efficient distribution of resources. The Jackson County COMBAT Commission and the COMBAT Administration shall accomplish this by allocating resources to promote and provide public safety within Jackson County including the prevention and treatment of drug abuse and addiction and the prevention, investigation, prosecution and detention of violent criminals and drug offenders. The vision of Jackson County COMBAT Commission and the COMBAT administration is to lead the advancement of a healthier and safer community.Crime Data Information: Eight categories of crime are considered violent by Jackson County COMBAT: Aggravated assaults, domestic violence/disturbance, shootings, drug related offenses, homicides, robberies, self-inflicted shootings, and sex offenses. The crimes in these categories include, but are not limited to: abuse of, neglect of, cruelty towards, or endangerment of a child; abuse of, neglect of, cruelty towards, or endangerment of the elderly, disabled, special victims, or vulnerable persons; abduction or attempted abduction; accidental shooting; aggravated assault of any degree (with or without a weapon; domestic or non-domestic); deviate sexual assault; endangerment of a corrections employee, law enforcement officer, or other public officer or county worker; fondling; homicide (including murder, non-negligent manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, justifiable homicide); human trafficking; incest; inhumane treatment of a person; kidnapping; molestation; rape or attempted rape; robbery of any degree or type; sodomy or attempted sodomy; promoting child pornography; promoting pornography to a minor; promoting a sexual performance by a child; sexual abuse; sexual assault; sexual exploitation of a child; sexual misconduct; shooting; stalking; unlawful use of a weapon involving shooting; and use of a firearm in a felony crime. Municipality names are assigned using this feature service and zip codes are assigned using this feature service.Crime date information: Crimes with a report date prior to January 1, 2018 were removed from the dataset. If incident dates were provided and an incident date occurred prior to January 1, 2018, it was removed as well.
