    The statistic shows the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) in Japan from February 2023 to February 2025. An indicator of the economic health of the manufacturing sector, the Purchasing Managers' Index is based on five major indicators: new orders, inventory levels, production, supplier deliveries and the employment environment. An index value above 50 percent indicates a positive development in the industrial sector, whereas a value below 50 percent indicates a negative situation. In February 2025, the value of the Purchasing Managers' Index in Japan stood at 48.6 percent.

Description

The statistic shows the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) in Japan from February 2023 to February 2025. An indicator of the economic health of the manufacturing sector, the Purchasing Managers' Index is based on five major indicators: new orders, inventory levels, production, supplier deliveries and the employment environment. An index value above 50 percent indicates a positive development in the industrial sector, whereas a value below 50 percent indicates a negative situation. In February 2025, the value of the Purchasing Managers' Index in Japan stood at 48.6 percent.
