    Description

Food establishments that sell or serve food to the public must get an annual permit and be inspected by the Public Health-Seattle and King County. These establishments include restaurants, food and espresso carts, coffee places, delis, the fresh food sections in grocery stores, temporary events where food is sold, and more. There are nearly 10,000 permitted food service establishments in Seattle and King County. The majority of these establishments have two unannounced inspections per year. While many of these food service establishements will automatically receive one special educational session on food safety annually, any restaurant may request a special educational session.Updated data is downloaded from the Health Department :http://info.kingcounty.gov/health/ehs/foodsafety/inspections/search.aspxWorkflow creates updates 3 objects to SDW. These represent KC DPH restaurant inspection records. The DB contains many inspections for each facility. A subset of these records is all created via a Frequency to roughly created a DB of each food facility. This food facility information is incorporated into the Common Interest db.
