    Description

This dataset includes one file for each of the 51 counties that were collected, as well as a CA_Merged file with the parcels merged into a single file.Note – this data does not include attributes beyond the parcel ID number (PARNO) – that will be provided when available, most likely by the state of California.DownloadA 1.6 GB zipped file geodatabase is available for download - click here.DescriptionA geodatabase with parcel boundaries for 51 (out of 58) counties in the State of California. The original target was to collect data for the close of the 2013 fiscal year. As the collection progressed, it became clear that holding to that time standard was not practical. Out of expediency, the date requirement was relaxed, and the currently available dataset was collected for a majority of the counties. Most of these were distributed with minimal metadata. The table “ParcelInfo” includes the data that the data came into our possession, and our best estimate of the last time the parcel dataset was updated by the original source. Data sets listed as “Downloaded from” were downloaded from a publicly accessible web or FTP site from the county. Other data sets were provided directly to us by the county, though many of them may also be available for direct download. Â These data have been reprojected to California Albers NAD84, but have not been checked for topology, or aligned to county boundaries in any way. Tulare County’s dataset arrived with an undefined projection and was identified as being California State Plane NAD83 (US Feet) and was assigned by ICE as that projection prior to reprojection. Kings County’s dataset was delivered as individual shapefiles for each of the 50 assessor’s books maintained at the county. These were merged to a single feature class prior to importing to the database. The attribute tables were standardized and truncated to include only a PARNO (APN). The format of these fields has been left identical to the original dataset. The Data Interoperablity Extension ETL tool used in this process is included in the zip file. Where provided by the original data sources, metadata for the original data has been maintained. Please note that the attribute table structure changes were made at ICE, UC Davis, not at the original data sources.Parcel Source InformationCountyDateCollecDateCurrenNotesAlameda4/8/20142/13/2014Download from Alamenda CountyAlpine4/22/20141/26/2012Alpine County PlanningAmador5/21/20145/14/2014Amador County Transportation CommissionButte2/24/20141/6/2014Butte County Association of GovernmentsCalaveras5/13/2014Download from Calaveras County, exact date unknown, labelled 2013Contra Costa4/4/20144/4/2014Contra Costa Assessor’s OfficeDel Norte5/13/20145/8/2014Download from Del Norte CountyEl Dorado4/4/20144/3/2014El Dorado County AssessorFresno4/4/20144/4/2014Fresno County AssessorGlenn4/4/201410/13/2013Glenn County Public WorksHumboldt6/3/20144/25/2014Humbodt County AssessorImperial8/4/20147/18/2014Imperial County AssessorKern3/26/20143/16/2014Kern County AssessorKings4/21/20144/14/2014Kings CountyLake7/15/20147/19/2013Lake CountyLassen7/24/20147/24/2014Lassen CountyLos Angeles10/22/201410/9/2014Los Angeles CountyMadera7/28/2014Madera County, Date Current unclear likely 7/2014Marin5/13/20145/1/2014Marin County AssessorMendocino4/21/20143/27/2014Mendocino CountyMerced7/15/20141/16/2014Merced CountyMono4/7/20144/7/2014Mono CountyMonterey5/13/201410/31/2013Download from Monterey CountyNapa4/22/20144/22/2014Napa CountyNevada10/29/201410/26/2014Download from Nevada CountyOrange3/18/20143/18/2014Download from Orange CountyPlacer7/2/20147/2/2014Placer CountyRiverside3/17/20141/6/2014Download from Riverside CountySacramento4/2/20143/12/2014Sacramento CountySan Benito5/12/20144/30/2014San Benito CountySan Bernardino2/12/20142/12/2014Download from San Bernardino CountySan Diego4/18/20144/18/2014San Diego CountySan Francisco5/23/20145/23/2014Download from San Francisco CountySan Joaquin10/13/20147/1/2013San Joaquin County Fiscal year close dataSan Mateo2/12/20142/12/2014San Mateo CountySanta Barbara4/22/20149/17/2013Santa Barbara CountySanta Clara9/5/20143/24/2014Santa Clara County, Required a PRA requestSanta Cruz2/13/201411/13/2014Download from Santa Cruz CountyShasta4/23/20141/6/2014Download from Shasta CountySierra7/15/20141/20/2014Sierra CountySolano4/24/2014Download from Solano Couty, Boundaries appear to be from 2013Sonoma5/19/20144/3/2014Download from Sonoma CountyStanislaus4/23/20141/22/2014Download from Stanislaus CountySutter11/5/201410/14/2014Download from Sutter CountyTehama1/16/201512/9/2014Tehama CountyTrinity12/8/20141/20/2010Download from Trinity County, Note age of data 2010Tulare7/1/20146/24/2014Tulare CountyTuolumne5/13/201410/9/2013Download from Tuolumne CountyVentura11/4/20146/18/2014Download from Ventura CountyYolo11/4/20149/10/2014Download from Yolo CountyYuba11/12/201412/17/2013Download from Yuba County

A parcel based layer providing an address based on spatial overlay where available, and a range of other property related attributes. To produce PARCEL_ADDRESS_AREA , PARCEL_AREA is spatially joined to ADDRESS_POINT to obtain address attributes, KROLLIDX_AREA to obtain a Kroll page reference, INTRMPAA_AREA to obtain potential annexation area attributes, and PLSS_AREA to obtain section-township-range. It is also joined on PIN to RPACCT_EXTR, PARCEL_EXTR, CONDOCOMPLEX_EXTR, and CONDOUNIT_EXTR to obtain property and assessment related attributes from the KC Assessor office. In many cases multiple addresses are spatially coincident with one parcel, and in those cases only one arbitrarily selected address is used to populate the address attribute information.

PLEASE NOTE: If choosing the Download option of "Spreadsheet" the field PIN is reformatted to a number - you will need to format it as a 10 character text string with leading zeros to join this data with data from King County.King County Assessor data has been summarized to the tax parcel identification number (PIN) and City of Seattle spatial overlay data has been assigned through geographic overlay processes. This data is updated periodically and is used to support the analytical and reporting functions of the City of Seattle long-range and policy planning office. The table includes attribute data from the King County Assessor as well as spatial overlay data for various City of Seattle reporting geographies. These geographic attributes are assigned as "majority rules" by land area in cases where multiple geographies span a single tax parcel.KCA tax parcels are created by King County for property tax assessment and collection and may not match development sites as defined by the City of Seattle (single buildings may span multiple tax parcels), may be stacked on top of each other to represent undivided interest and vertical parcels, or may be made up of several sites that are not contiguous. Every effort is made to accurately summarize key tax parcel attributes to a single PIN. Attributes include parcel centroid locations in latitude/longitude and Washington State Plane X,Y. To get polygon representation of the data please see King County's open data page for parcels and join this table through the PIN field. Please be aware that the King County Assessor site address is not a postal address and may not match other address sources for the same property such as postal, utility billing, and permitting.See the detailed data dictionary for more information.

    Description

The TIGER/Line Files are shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) that are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line File is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. Census Blocks are statistical areas bounded on all sides by visible features, such as streets, roads, streams, and railroad tracks, and/or by nonvisible boundaries such as city, town, township, and county limits, and short line-of-sight extensions of streets and roads. Census blocks are relatively small in area; for example, a block in a city bounded by streets. However, census blocks in remote areas are often large and irregular and may even be many square miles in area. A common misunderstanding is that data users think census blocks are used geographically to build all other census geographic areas, rather all other census geographic areas are updated and then used as the primary constraints, along with roads and water features, to delineate the tabulation blocks. As a result, all 2010 Census blocks nest within every other 2010 Census geographic area, so that Census Bureau statistical data can be tabulated at the block level and aggregated up to the appropriate geographic areas. Census blocks cover all territory in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Island Areas (American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Blocks are the smallest geographic areas for which the Census Bureau publishes data from the decennial census. A block may consist of one or more faces.

    Description

Publication Date: April 2025. This polygon layer is updated annually.

This layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITs Geospatatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided the Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow the Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State.

Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel.

Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page.

This layer displays when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale.

This map service is available to the public.

Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county.

Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, New York City (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, Steuben, St Lawrence, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester.

    Description

This data release contains the GIS data supporting U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report (OFR) 2005-1252, "The Geologic Map of Seattle—A Progress Report," published in 2005 by Kathy Goetz Troost, Derek B. Booth, Aaron P. Wisher, and Scott A. Shimel (https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr20051252). The OFR was prepared for the 2005 Washington Hydrogeology Symposium and describes the status of geologic mapping for Seattle, Washington, at the time. The map is the result of field mapping and compilation of subsurface geologic data during the years 1999–2004 and was funded by the City of Seattle and the U.S. Geological Survey. Data from more than 36,000 exploration points, geotechnical borings, monitoring wells, excavations, and outcrops were used in making the map. The northern part of the 2005 OFR and the supporting GIS data were subsequently published as two geologic maps: Booth, D.B., Troost, K.G., and Shimel, S.A., 2005, Geologic map of northwestern Seattle (part of the Seattle North 7.5’ X 15’ Quadrangle), King County, Washington: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Map 2903, https://doi.org/10.3133/sim2903. Booth, D.B., Troost, K.G., and Shimel, S.A., 2009, Geologic map of northeastern Seattle (part of the Seattle North 7.5' x 15' quadrangle), King County, Washington: U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigations Map 3065, https://doi.org/10.3133/sim3065. The southern part of the 2005 OFR and the supporting GIS data were not subsequently published for various reasons. With the original authors' permission, the GIS data used to create the map shown in OFR 2005-1252 are being released here to best meet modern open-data standards and to allow for use in future studies and mapping. The data included in this data release are only those components necessary to create the map shown in OFR 2005-1252. The following map features were not available and are not included in this data release: bedding point data, faults, anticlines, and contact lines. OFR_2005-1252.gdb is an Esri geodatabase containing the following feature classes: ofr_2005_1252_geology_poly (1,068 features); ofr_2005_1252_fill_poly (424 features); ofr_2005_1252_seattle_fault_zone_poly (1 feature); ofr_2005_1252_wastage_landslide_deposits_poly (188 features); ofr_2005_1252_beds_line (6 features); and ofr_2005_1252_scarp_line (351 features). Metadata records associated with each of these elements contain more detailed descriptions of their purposes, constituent entities, and attributes. A shapefile (non-geodatabase) version of the dataset is also included, although due to character limits, some field names and text cells in the attribute tables were truncated relative to the equivalent values in the geodatabase. The authors ask that users of the geologic map data cite both the open-file report and the GIS data release: Open-File Report: Troost, K.G., Booth, D.B., Wisher, A.P., and Shimel, S.A., 2005, The geologic map of Seattle—a progress report: U.S. Geological Survey Open-File Report 2005-1252, https://doi.org/10.3133/ofr20051252. Description

Dashboard showing the residential housing unit characteristics across the City of Seattle. Data is from the King County Assessor Office and is compiled by the City of Seattle planning office.King County Assessor (KCA) data has been compiled to create a dataset of unit types and sizes by tax parcel identification number (PIN). City of Seattle spatial overlay data has been assigned through geographic overlay processes. This data is updated periodically and is used to support the analytical and reporting functions of the City of Seattle long-range and policy planning office. The map includes attribute data from the King County Assessor tables that characterize the use, number of units, number of bedrooms and building square footage (net) for all buildings that indicate a residential use. Due to the way KCA reports the data, some records are for all units within individual buildings (residential and commercial building records), while other records are for the combination of unit type and number of bedrooms (apartment and condominium records) on a particular property (called complex in the table). Therefore there may be many records for any given PIN.Some unit counts and type assignments have been imputed based on other data to allow characterization of the complete data set. Other fields have been added to aid in classification for planning purposes such as the complex category. Every effort is made to characterize the data accurately. Spatial overlay data for various City of Seattle reporting geographies are assigned as "majority rules" by land area in cases where multiple geographies span a single tax parcel.KCA tax parcels are created by King County for property tax assessment and collection and may not match development sites as defined by the City of Seattle (single buildings may span multiple tax parcels), may be stacked on top of each other to represent undivided interest and vertical parcels, or may be made up of several sites that are not contiguous.

    Description

This layer represents the tax parcels in King County. This layer also includes place-holder polygons which do not represent tax parcels but are included to identify platted and unplatted land descriptions. The layer includes stacked polygon geometry for undivided interest and vertical parcels. King County parcel numbers may include leading zeros in PIN, Major or Minor. The data is created for Assessment purposes and is not guaranteed to represent accurate measurements or to reflect salability or buildability of a tax parcel. These tax parcel boundaries represent general location only, and they should not be considered or used as the exact legal parcel boundary location. Do not use for survey purposes.

    Description

Together with partners and willing landowners, the Land Conservation Initiative aims to protect 65,000 acres of land in King County before 2050, of which 45,000 acres are targeted for easement or fee acquisition. This layer tracks parcels acquired either by King County or with grant funding assistance from King County. This layer does not indicate properties available for public access. Many conservation easements are recorded on private property and are not open to the public but instead are protected to support environmental, resiliency, or health goals. Properties available for recreation can be viewed in the layer park_area which is available in the recreation category.
