This map page grid was designed and implemented by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Information Management Division, and Geographic Information Systems Section. Wholly based on the United States National Grid (USNG), it aims to be the Los Angeles County regional grid because of its ease of use and extensive coverage.

Each block measures 2,000 meters by 2,000 meters and are comprised of four 1,000 meter/1 kilometer USNG blocks. i.e. 11SLT4771, 11SLT4871, 11SLT4770 and 11SLT4870; left to right and up to down. For ease of use each 2,000 meter block is designated by a page number from 1 to 9,750, and it is inferred that the 1,000 meter divisions of each page are designated A, B, C or D; left to right and up to down. Therefore, each 1,000 meter block within this regional grid has a unique descriptor of 4 numerals and 1 letter.

The region covered by the grid includes Los Angeles County completely and 2 of the islands in the Channel Islands archipelago that fall into the Los Angeles County jurisdiction. It also covers close to 100% of Orange County, 50% of Ventura County, and the Los Angeles County adjacent portions of Kern County, San Bernardino County and Riverside County, and a portion of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Northwest San Diego County.

SCE PSPS - Fire Hazard Severity Zones - City Boundaries - Fire StationsFire Hazard Severity Zones obtain the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) maps areas of significant fire hazards based on fuels, terrain, weather, and other relevant factors. These zones, referred to as Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHSZ), define the application of various mitigation strategies to reduce risk associated with wildland fires. Fire stations obtained from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. There are currently 176 stations (175 regular stations plus seasonal station 189 (LA County Fair).

The Los Angeles County Fire Department is utilizing a 2000 Meter grid system for dispatching, data analysis and map production. It is based on the 1000 Meter grid developed by the United States National Grid (USNG). A page numbering system for this 2000 Meter grid was created for use by the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

This map is created for EMS to collaborate and diverse ALS when needed for schools in LAUSD

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection's Fire and Resource Assessment Program (FRAP) annually maintains and distributes an historical wildland fire perimeter dataset from across public and private lands in California. The GIS data is developed with the cooperation of the United States Forest Service Region 5, the Bureau of Land Management, California State Parks, National Park Service and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and is released in the spring with added data from the previous calendar year. Although the dataset represents the most complete digital record of fire perimeters in California, it is still incomplete, and users should be cautious when drawing conclusions based on the data. This data should be used carefully for statistical analysis and reporting due to missing perimeters (see Use Limitation in metadata). Some fires are missing because historical records were lost or damaged, were too small for the minimum cutoffs, had inadequate documentation or have not yet been incorporated into the database. Other errors with the fire perimeter database include duplicate fires and over-generalization. Additionally, over-generalization, particularly with large old fires, may show unburned "islands" within the final perimeter as burned. Users of the fire perimeter database must exercise caution in application of the data. Careful use of the fire perimeter database will prevent users from drawing inaccurate or erroneous conclusions from the data. This data is updated annually in the spring with fire perimeters from the previous fire season. This dataset may differ in California compared to that available from the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) due to different requirements between the two datasets. The data covers fires back to 1878. As of May 2025, it represents fire24_1. This dataset reflects incidents that have been reported to the New Orleans Police Department in 2023. Data is provided by Orleans Parish Communication District (OPCD), the administrative office of 9-1-1 for the City of New Orleans. Please request 911 audio via our public records request system here: https://nola.nextrequest.com.

In the OPCD system, NOPD may reclassify or change the signal type for up to 36 hours after the incident is marked up. For information about an incident after this time period, citizens may request police reports from the NOPD Public Records Division. In order to protect the privacy of victims, addresses are shown at the block level and the call types cruelty to juveniles, juvenile attachment and missing juvenile have been removed in accordance with the Louisiana Public Records Act, L.R.S. 44:1. Map coordinates (X,Y) have been removed for the following call types: Aggravated Rape, Aggravated Rape - MA, Crime Against Nature, Mental Patient, Oral Sexual Battery, Prostitution, Sexual Battery, Simple Rape, Simple Rape - Male V, and Soliciting for Prost.
