The Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2024. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. No line work was adjusted between county boundaries.The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. 2015 Land Use Inventory:This file is a digital geospatial Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) ArcGIS version 10.x File Geodatabase Polygon Feature Class representing land use in the seven northeastern Illinois counties (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will). Land use is identified to nearly 60 categories, and was created using county parcel GIS boundaries and Assessor data, along with color orthorectificed aerial photography captured in the spring of 2015. Land uses were assigned to parcels using a combination of automated and manual techniques, using a variety of reference data sets for land use identification and validation. This dataset is considered an update of the 2013 parcel-based Land Use Inventory, and the primary focus was on parcels whose assessment records or geometry had changed between 2013 - 2015, suggesting a change in land use. Parcels were then dissolved on common land uses (to the limits of PLS sections or assessor blocks); polygons were generated for “non-parcel” (water, right-of-way) areas and classified using automated processes, and extensive topological cleaning was necessary to minimize gap/overlap issues.
