Number of people belonging to a visible minority group as defined by the Employment Equity Act and, if so, the visible minority group to which the person belongs. The Government of Alberta has developed Seniors’ Community Profiles to assist with local-level planning by the community-based seniors-serving sectors and other organizations. The profiles report a range of demographic, economic, physical and mental health, and health care utilization indicators relevant to the seniors population. These community profiles provide information at the Local Geographic Area (LGA), Zone, and Alberta levels for 114 LGAs in Alberta. The profiles are intended to highlight areas of need and provide relevant information to support the consistent and sustainable community planning.
