This data set consists of a detailed digital map of the areal extent of fields and a summary of the irrigated acreage for the 2018 growing season developed for Lee County, Florida. Selected attribute data that include crop type, irrigation system, and primary water source were collected for each irrigated field.

Parcels and property attribute data are maintained by the Lee County Property Appraiser. Property attributes joined to parcels to create this GIS layer by Lee County Government GIS. This dataset contains access, communications, conservation, ingress/egress, electric, utility, and miscellaneous easements.This dataset is maintained by Lee County GIS, Lee County Department of Transportation (DOT), Lee County Department of Community Development (DCD), and Lee County Utilities (LCU). Historic flowways in Lee County, Florida represent historic paths of surface water conveyance. This dataset was developed from reclassification of the soils layer and aerial photo interpretation.A flowway for the purpose of this analysis is generally described as the lowest "pathway" allowing for the successive conveyance of surface waters. The Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2025. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. Dataset serves as an inventory of well drilling inspections and well permits, which consist of but not limited to: Demolition Well Inspections, which may require being plugged; Water wells, test wells, monitor wells, geothermal wells, test borings, elevator shafts, shared and existing well inspections. Data is used to analyze water quality & condition parameters of various scenarios.

Corners established as part of the original government survey are the basis for legal descriptions of real property in Florida. The section corners identified as Verified = “NO” were initially added from a spreadsheet containing State Plane X/Y coordinates transferred from certified corner records by Lee County Property Appraiser. Coordinates were converted from NAD27 to NAD83 using CORPSCON as needed. The verified section corners (Verified = “YES”) are corners that were field verified by a certified surveyor contracted by Lee County. BLM is the Bureau of Land Management ID used to locate certified corner records on LABINS website. Example : T45SR24E500300 is the SW corner of section 23-T45S-R24E. These data were taken from the Florida Boating Access Facilities Inventory and Economic Study including a pilot study for Lee County: A Report to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on August 30, 2009. This GIS point data set is based on the data contained in the final databases that were provided to FWC on June 2, 2009 in Microsoft Access format.

Data in this layer is compiled from a variety of sources. Attributes have been added to distinguish the sources."LeePA Building Footprints" are created and maintained by the Lee County Property Appraiser's GIS. The geometry and attributes are extracted from their databases and combined based on the unique building key."LeePA Condo Buildings" are created from features in the Lee County Property Appraiser's parcel fabric. The geometry and attributes are extracted from their databases and combined using a variety of methods.Other buildings have been added by Lee County GIS. These are typically mobile/manufactured homes or time shares. Most mobile/manufactured homes were created using Esri's Building Footprint Extraction deep learning package and Regularize Building Footprint geoprocessing tool from 2025 aerial imagery. Additional attributes were added by Lee County GIS.

This dataset identifies fee simple parcel acquisitions by Lee County Government including Conservation 20/20 acquisitions. This dataset does not identify parcels acquired by other governmental agencies, Federal, State or otherwise.

Conservation lands in Lee County, Florida acquired through the Lee County Conservation 20/20 Program.

FDEP reviews citizen reports of algal blooms received via the online reporting form or hotline and coordinates with other agencies who are also sampling – SFWMD, SWFWMD, FWC and Lee County – to determine the sampling team to respond based on the location of the bloom relative to the sampling schedule for that day. Additional entities have reached out to offer sampling support and are added to the schedule as needed. The department, water management districts and FWC routinely survey and sample locations in South Florida and are prepared to collect samples if algae is present. The state’s bloom response team encourages everyone to be on the lookout for blooms and report them. Residents statewide can now easily report algal blooms to the department 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Information can be reported online through www.reportalgalbloom.com, as well as through a new toll-free number at 1-855-305-3903. To report fish that are either dead or in poor physical condition, residents should contact the Fish Kill Hotline 1-800-636-0511.
