Municipal responsibilities set out under the Municipal Act and other Provincial legislation are split between the upper tier and lower tier municipalities. Single Tier Municipality: An area which does not form part of an upper tier municipality for municipal purposes and assumes all municipal responsibilities set out under the Municipal Act and other Provincial legislation. This file contains the digital vector boundaries for Wards in the United Kingdom as at May 2018. The boundaries are generalised (20m) - clipped to the coastline (Mean High Water mark). Contains both Ordnance Survey and ONS Intellectual Property Rights.NOTE: These are interim boundaries based on Ordnance Survey's draft boundary line product and are therefore subject to change. In response to customer demand and given that many large metropolitan areas (including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Newcastle) have had boundary changes this May, ONS have created an interim ward boundary set using draft Boundary Line (May 2018). The benefit of this is that the boundaries are created closer to when they are operative (no waiting 8 months for the boundaries). ONS have updated the boundaries from the Boundary Line product themselves applying any changes that OS have missed and we publish using the caveat that these are as at May and could change – ONS will continue to create an end of year boundary set.

Leeds City Council worked with the University of Leeds to update the case studies in its sustainable design & construction document Building for Tomorrow Today to see (where possible) how the buildings have actually performed in reality compared with what was anticipated at the planning stage.
In addition, we would like to map the case studies and publicise this via the Leeds Data Mill (http://www.leedsdatamill.org/). It is anticipated that making this dataset available via the data mill may lead to future interest, for instance by creating a ‘Leeds Sustainable Buildings trail’
