There were 780 level-1 accredited hospitals by PhilHealth in the Philippines, 122 of which were located in Region 3. In contrast, CARAGA had 14 level-1 hospitals as of this period.
As of 2023, there were 333 level-2 accredited hospitals by PhilHealth in the Philippines, 56 of which were located in Region IV-A. Meanwhile, there were two level 2 hospitals located in the BARMM region. Level 2 hospitals provide basic health services, alongside ICU facilities for critically ill patients and specialist doctors for gynecology and pediatric services.
As of January 2024, Region IV-A or CALABARZON had the highest number of hospitals in the Philippines, totaling 233. This was followed by Region III or Central Luzon with 197 and NCR with 157 hospitals. CARAGA had the lowest number of hospitals as of this period.
