An update to the NT Commonwealth Electoral Boundaries has been applied to reflect the redistribution of the boundaries gazetted on 4 March 2025.
Geoscape has become aware that the DATE_CREATED and DATE_RETIRED attributes in the commonwealth_electoral_polygon MapInfo TAB tables were incorrectly ordered and did not match the product data model. These attributes have been re-ordered to match the data model for the May 2025 release.

Description | NSW Local Government Area is a dataset within the Administrative Boundaries Theme (FSDF). It depicts polygons of gazetted boundaries defining the Local Government Area. It contains all of the cadastral line data or topographic features which are used to define the boundaries between adjoining shires, municipalities, cities (Local Government Act) and the unincorporated areas of NSW. The dataset also contains Council Names, ABS Codes, Ito Codes, Vg Codes, and Wb Codes. Any changes that occur to the dataset should have a reference in the authority of reference feature class in the Land Parcel and Property. Features are positioned in topological alignment within the extents of the land parcel and property polygons for each Local Government Area and are held in alignment, including changes resulting cadastral maintenance and upgrades. |

Accuracy | The dataset maintains a positional relationship to, and alignment with, the Lot and Property digital datasets. This dataset was captured by digitising the best available cadastral mapping at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to 1:250 000 according to the National Mapping Council of Australia, Standards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined points. That is, 1:500 = 0.25m, 1:2000 = 1m, 1:4000 = 2m, 1:25000 = 12.5m, 1:50000 = 25m and 1:100000 = 50m. A program of positional upgrade (accuracy improvement) is currently underway. A program to upgrade the spatial location and accuracy of data is ongoing. |

Local Land Services brings together agricultural production advice, biosecurity, natural resource management and emergency management into a single organisation. Department of Primary Industries' extension arm, Catchment Management Authorities (CMA) and Livestock Health and Pest Authorities (LHPA). Eleven LLS regions, managed by 11 local boards cover NSW: Central Tablelands, Central West, Greater Sydney, Hunter, Murray, North Coast, Northern Tablelands, North West, Riverina, South East and Western regions. Local Land Services regional boundaries were determined in 2013 following extensive community consultation. Each LLS region is a collation of Local Government Areas (LGA), with four exceptions where the LGA is split across two LLS regions. This dataset represents fine-scale floristic vegetation mapping within eastern freehold lands of the Nambucca Local Government Area (LGA) and targeted mapping of Threatened Ecological Communities …Show full descriptionThis dataset represents fine-scale floristic vegetation mapping within eastern freehold lands of the Nambucca Local Government Area (LGA) and targeted mapping of Threatened Ecological Communities (TEC) outside public lands throughout the LGA. Vegetation has been classified into Plant community types (PCT), classes and formations, with the composition of respective vegetation species identified. Mapping was conducted by vegetation mapping ‘experts’ (NSW Office of Environment and Heritage) between 2013 and 2015, and was based on 3-D PLANAR modelling, aerial photography interpretation and field floristic assessment. Additionally, basic disturbance information is captured along with a selection of prominent weeds where identified by interpreters. Vegetation mapping and a field verification program were conducted, in two stages, for parts of the Nambucca Shire Council Local Government Area (Nambucca LGA) using high-resolution digital aerial imagery. The aim of the project was to map the vegetation and plant community types in the coastal and lowland areas of the Nambucca LGA outside National Park and State Forest Estate in order to: • Define the extent of vegetation on the valley floors, to provide a refined and accurate layer of woody and non-woody vegetation cover for private land and coastal Crown Land within the Nambucca LGA. • Delineate the potential occurrence of Threatened Ecological Communities (TECs) on freehold lands and coastal Crown Land in the Nambucca LGA (Stage 1). • Map all coastal and lowland vegetation communities on freehold land and coastal Crown Land (Stage 2). • Identify areas of the Stage 2 mapped vegetation to be used in habitat modelling for the Koala (Phascolarctos cinereus). The vegetation map is suitable for use at a scale of 1:5000 and will support environmental planning and assessment at the level of local government areas and regions. The map is indicative of the vegetation and threatened ecological communities occurring within an individual property or development land area. However, it is recommended that decision making be based on further flora surveys and expert-driven site assessment to meet the requirements of the TSC Act and other planning instruments on a case-by-case basis. The Catchment Management Authority (CMA) areas of operation consists of polygons derived mainly from catchment boundaries. The dataset shows the location of the CMAs within NSW when the data was created in July 2010.

Boundaries compiled from digital subcatchment boundaries that were created for the Stressed Rivers Assessment, where they follow catchments and from DCDB coincident LGA boundaries.

This dataset provides input to the Palerang LGA Bush Fire Prone Land Map, which comprises this Bush Fire Vegetation map plus buffers created in accordance with the Guideline for Bushfire Prone Land Mapping Version 3 - 28 June 2006, NSW Rural Fire Service. Umwelt Pty Ltd (Umwelt) was engaged by Palerang Local Government Area (LGA) to prepare a vegetation and threatened species model for the Palerang Shire. This dataset comprises of native vegetation communities within the boundaries of native vegetation extant in the Lake Macquarie City Council (LMCC) Local Government Area (LGA). These communities were originally mapped by Stephen Bell and Collin Driscoll using the methodology outlined in Bell, S.A.J. & Driscoll, C. (2016) and are as amended by LMCC by bi-annual review.\r \r The methodology is a composite of field survey (rapid data points) and vegetation mapping from various reports. Additional edits have been made by LMCC where attribution and/or lineage has found to be in error, or more intensive field site survey has been undertaken. Native vegetation extant is derived from the LMCC Native Vegetation and Corridor mapping (updated using 2022 nearmap imagery).\r \r The internal Map Unit (MU) delineation accuracy varies according to the source data at each point. The intention is to improve accuracy over time. The accuracy of the vegetation extant is <10m. All data requires careful interpretation with consideration of the accuracy field at any location. Full floristic plot survey and multivariate analysis has not been undertaken for many of the map units, hence their position in the classification hierarchy requires further confirmation. This dataset should not be used as a substitute for full site-specific floristic survey using standard techniques (quadrats & transects etc) and should be used in conjunction with the supporting reports.\r \r The vegetation community classification system used is LHCCREMS (NPWS) 2000, with subgroups and additional communities where no equivalent exists to form LMCC Map Units (MU). Equivalent NSW State Government Plant Community Types (PCTs) were assigned to LMCC vegetation community map units by S. Bell with varying degrees of confidence:\r \r * High matches are generally those where sufficient similarities are evident;\r * Medium, where some uncertainties are present; and\r * Low where there is considerable doubt over the match, but due to the absence of better matches these have been selected.\r * “No clear match” is for map units that occur in a very small area of the City and given they are local variations cannot be assigned to broader based PCT classification.\r \r Nationally listed Threatened Endangered Ecological Communities (TECs) are indicative only, and require onsite investigation. For Nationally listed species composition, condition, connectivity and patch size need to be verified in accordance with the relevant conservation advice. TECs are based in the first instance on the LMCC Map Unit. Where the LMCC Map Unit has not been assigned to a TEC but the equivalent eastern NSW PCT lists an associated Threatened Ecological Community, the TEC is listed in this dataset with the suffix “(possible, from PCT)”.\r \r Version 2 changes:\r In 2023 amendments were made to the mapping, with the updated version titled “Lake Macquarie LGA Vegetation Community Map 2022 – Version 2”. These amendments include:\r \r * Inclusion of data fields relating to the eastern NSW PCTs, including E. NSW PCT ID, E. NSW PCT Name and Confidence in the E.
