The AIMS: Address Component data table contains core information relating to a street address such as Street Number or Road Name and is part of the AIMS: Street Address.
Refer to the NZ Addresses Data Dictionary for detailed metadata and information about this dataset.
Background
This dataset provides all allocated addresses as advised to Toitū Te Whenua LINZ by Territorial Authorities (TAs). Under the Local Government Act 1974 (section 319) it is the responsibility of the TAs to advise the Surveyor-General at Toitū Te Whenua LINZ of all allocated addresses in their district.
The dataset is maintained by Toitū Te Whenua LINZ in the Address Information Management System (AIMS) which is centralised database for the management of national addresses, including for electoral purposes. This dataset is updated weekly on the LINZ Data Service.
For a simplified version of the data contained within these tables see NZ Addresses

This index enables you to identify digital bathymetric surface models created by LINZ using third party data. This data provides a 3-dimensional model of the surface of the seafloor.
These surface models have been created by LINZ from third party single- or multi-beam data collected in the New Zealand coastal area since 2009. The polygons in the index show the extent of these gridded data models, and include descriptive information, such as the age and quality of the data.
The gridded surface models are not downloadable from the LINZ Data Service, but can be requested.
Please refer to the LINZ Bathymetric Index Data Dictionary for further information about the attributes of this dataset, and formats in which the data is available.
How to order the data: Requests for the models should be sent to hydro@linz.govt.nz with “Hydro Bathy Data” in the subject line. Requests must, as a minimum, specify the id and surf_name of the models of interest and the data format (see the options in Section 1.4 of the Bathymetric Data Dictionary).
It may take a few days to get the surface models generated from third party funded bathymetric data to you, as we need to confirm with the data owner that they are happy for their data to be released. The owner may attach conditions to the release of their data.
LINZ also holds publically funded bathymetric data for the New Zealand coastal area, which can be readily released under a Creative Commons licence for reuse. View our "NZ Bathymetric Surface Model Index" dataset to request this data.

This dataset provides information about the position, position accuracy, mark name, mark type, condition and unique four letter code for geodetic marks in terms of a New Zealand's official geodetic datum.
The dataset only contains marks that are within the New Zealand mainland and offshore islands. These positions have been generated using geodetic observations such as precise differential GPS or electronic distance and theodolite angles measurements. The positions are either 2D or 3D depending of the availability of this measurement data.
The source data is from Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand's (LINZ) Landonline system where it is used by Land Surveyors. This dataset is updated daily to reflect changes made in the Landonline.
Geodetic marks with a coordinate order of 5 or less have been positioned in terms of NZGD2000. Lower order marks (order 6 and greater) are derived from cadastral surveys, lower accuracy measurement techniques or inaccurate historical datum transformations, and may be significantly less accurate.
The accuracy of NZGD2000 coordinates is described by a series of 'orders' classifications. Positions in terms of NZGD2000 are described by three-dimensional coordinates (latitude, longitude, ellipsoidal height). The accuracy of a survey mark is indicated by its Order. Orders are classifications based on the quality of the coordinate in relation to the datum and in relation to other surrounding marks. For more information see
Note that the accuracy applies at the time the mark was last surveyed. Refer to the web geodetic database for historical information about mark coordinates.
Note also that the existence of a mark in this dataset does not imply that there is currently a physical mark in the ground - the dataset includes destroyed or lost historical marks. The geodetic database provides more information on the mark status, valid at last time it was visited by LINZ or a maintenance contractor.

This layer includes all Crown Land and Properties managed by LINZ which have been identified spatially and can include properties managed by LINZ on behalf of other agencies. The attributes in this dataset are derived from the National Property and Land Information System (NaPALIS), which is a centralised database for all Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) and Department of Conservation (DOC) administered land. The boundaries of many properties are linked to the applicable Landonline Primary Parcel(s), but in some cases the boundaries may have been drawn in as unsurveyed parcels to varying degrees of accuracy. As such please note that the boundaries are indicative only. The layer excludes any LINZ managed properties which do not have an identified location or extent. More information on Crown Property can be found under the Crown Property section on the LINZ Website. A subset of Crown Property can be found in the South Island Pastoral Leases layer. A table of Property associations to Primary Parcels is published in the LDS here.

This dataset provides an index to the Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) available through the LINZ Data Service showing extent and ENC attributes. The ENC index is compiled from the S-57 Object Class “Nautical publication information” which is used to relate additional nautical information or publications to the data. The attributes are populated by Land Information New Zealand’s (LINZ) production database. S-57 is a standard used to exchange digital hydrographic data between hydrographic offices and to distribute this data to users. This dataset was compiled for the use in the scale ranges 1:1,000 to 1:1,500,000 and smaller. THIS DATA DOES NOT REPLACE NAUTICAL CHARTS AND MUST NOT BE USED FOR NAVIGATION. Please read: This dataset provides linear geometries against which official road names and street addresses can be recorded. Its purpose is also to enable automated meshblock address reports (for electoral and statistical purposes) so as to identify the presence of a road name in meshblocks where street addresses do not exist.
For this dataset (as opposed to the NZ Roads Subsections (Addressing) dataset, individual road section geometries have been aggregated to a single road centreline geometry where those subsections share the same name, and are generally contiguous. Because some roads have multiple names for part of their lengths, some road centreline geometries will duplicate parts of other roads even though there is in reality only one road formation. This dataset has been simplified from LINZ’s NZ Roads dataset, a centralised database for the management of national road data. The comprehensive set of NZ Roads tables is also available.
These road centrelines do not represent actual road formation, nor do they represent legal access. They must not be considered as topographic, cadastral, or legal.
This dataset contains the core attributes of a road to support simple searching or provide a road name context for cadastral data views. Please refer to the NZ Roads Data Dictionary for detailed metadata and information about this dataset.

This 8m Digital Elevation Model (DEM) was originally created by Geographx (geographx.co.nz) and was primarily derived from January 2012 LINZ Topo50 20m contours (data.linz.govt.nz/layer/768).
Suitable for cartographic visualisation only. It was created by the interpolation of 20m contours with post-processing and filtering it is not suitable for terrain analysis.
Spatial accuracy is nominally the same as for the LINZ source data: 90% of well-defined points are within ±22 metres horizontally and within ±10 metres vertically.
For a full description of the how the DEM was generated refer to this layer’s metadata.

This table can be used to link NZ Property Titles List, NZ Property Title Estates List, or NZ Property Title Owners List to spatial parcel layers such as NZ Parcels, NZ Linear Parcels or NZ Primary Parcels

The match between live/part-cancelled titles and current parcels is more than 99%.
