The purpose of this study was to conduct an impact evaluation of a Digital Literacy programme from rural Mewat, Haryana in India. The programme is run by the Indian NGO SM Sehgal Foundation amongst rural youth and adolescents. The programme is a 6 month programme which imparts knowledge of computers, internet, government institutions and other non-cognitive skills. I used a quasi-experimental setup to identify the impact of the programme on 150 individuals aged between 9 to 28. I collected data on knowledge of computers, internet, government institutions, digital device access and usage, expectations and aspirations, self-efficacy, decision- making, gender preferences and self-esteem. I am a researcher in the field of development economics, with interests in human behavior, public policy and labour market. I conducted this study for my masters dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Annemie Maertens, while at the Department of Economics, University of Sussex.
